Jumping Flash 3 :Robbit Mon Dieu arrived this morning from Nippon, and very nice it is too, with all the various cards inside, including a little ad for Legend of the Dragoon!
The cover is a little sun faded though.

Also on the lookout now for a cheap pc for the cab, I'm having a few issues with the current cab setup and a new pc might fix them. Must take a full size PCIe card though, pm me if you've something like that you're willing to trade!

One of my mame pc is small form factor,
I just butchered the back out of it so it now takes a proper gfx card !

    Master of the Universe

Am I the only one who has never heard of Legend of Dragoon until recently?

The PS1 era was when I really started buying loads of game mags, was looking for something RPG related after playing through FF VII - but didn't heard of LOD until Retr0 started his crusade against it.

I'm pretty sure he just made it up.

I only saw one mention of it in the Irish OPSM in a tiny box out that stated it was made by the creators of FFVI (utter lies as per usual from them). It snuck out on to shelves. I guess when it got awful reviews and sales in the US they didn't bother since it had a big print and TV campaign in the US.

Maybe its a physical manifestation of retr0s hate?

I remember them, they were based in the basement of Gamesworld, on Liffey St.
Weren't they really a bad place to find independent reviews, just look to see what was advertised on the two page spread inside the cover and they got a great review.

I got a copy for feck all, might have been at a market, flogged it for a tidy sum to a guy in Australia!

Looking forward to giving Jumping Flash 3 a blast though, seems like there's a lot more depth in this one, and all in Japanese!
Time to look for a guide!

    Hmm...
I am slowly building my Wii collection, all the good stuff that was previously resident on a hdd... allegedly....
Anyways, I checked around on ebay and searched for Kirby on the Wii, looking for Epic Yarn and Kirbys Adventure at a decent price. The latter goes for fairly big money now, £40 plus by my reckoning.
So, imagine my surprise when I find both games, in a two game lot, for the princely sum of €27 posted, from Guernsey.
The general rule is that there is always a catch, I don't know, the ad is fairly straight.
I know that the tax laws are changing over there and perhaps they are getting shot of their stock.... don't know....
Sure, we will see in a couple of days!

..picked this up today (thanks again los lobos) to go with my recently discovered copy of moonwalker that spent the last year sitting untested and unlabeled in a Joe Montana box! thats a hastily printed label on the cart , need to do a better one (and see if I can get a scan of a PAL one as opposed to the current NTSC one)

Forgot I even bought this. Came in the post yesterday. I loved the arcade game so if this is even a glimpse of that I'll be happy. Probably isn't though.

Unfortunately it's shares nothing with the arcade game bar the Ferrari licence, although it's not a bad game.
The game you're after is readily available for the ps2 so watch for it.
It's a hard one though, definitely worth owning a wheel for it.
I have it on the Dreamcast and impressive it is too, but then it was a Naomi game originally so it was an easy port to the home console.
I must have a look about for the ps2 edition myself.

Actually, I have a spare copy of the game for the PS2, I have it on the Dreamcast, both a Jap and a Pal copy plus the official DC wheel to play it, so if you want the PS2 version proper then we can trade if you like.
I'll pop it up on the trading forum if you want to do that, if you'd prefer to buy it, I'll stick it on Adverts instead.

Damn it I really should have done a bit of research on this. I looked on ebay again and saw the right one. F355 right?
I doubt I have anything you'd want to swap for to be fair.
I'd happily throw you a few quid for it though if you put it on adverts.
I'll buy a wheel soon. Just need to save again after buying the namco stick.

ps if anyone has any suggestions for the best ps2 steering wheel to buy let me know, and ones not to buy. It'll be mainly for F355 when I get it.

    cheers.

From what I can see the Sega game supports the Logitech Driving Force wheels, but don't quote me.
I just got one of these myself and it's a nice thing, but make sure it comes with the power supply or things get awkward, I'm using a laptop PSU to run it at the mo, seems fine.
Not all games will use the forcefeedback function, not sure about F355 in that respect.

hang on..system 3 ..the Last Ninja guys? I'd forgotten they were still around (at least in the ps2 era), there was supposed to be a LN remake on the (original) Xbox..

Yeah, they made a few racing titles, not sure what else they've done, or if they are still around, Google is your friend!
As for the wheel, don't know, again search for it, see what's out there.

Same System 3 I think but only as publishers not developers.

Hmm, no communication from the guy/gal selling me Kirbys Adventure and Kirbys Epic Yarn at a knockdown price.....
    He/she accepted my money though....
Might have to fly to Guernsey to deliver a can of whup-ass if this goes on too long.....

Currently looking at a copy of sonic cd on ebay. Not too long to go and no bidders as of yet. We'll see though.

I got that when I bought my Mega CD 1 years ago. What type of coinage is it fetching these days?

BIN's are floating around the €45 mark and there was 1 finished auction that went for €25

Edit: There was also another BIN that actually sold for €78

Has to be Dreamcast as it just feels right, being a Sega game and all!

    Yaah Yaah Yahh Yaah Yaah!

Arcade & Retro Commandment #17: "And when one doth useth the name of Crazy Taxi, another shallt invoke The Offspring, harking 'YAH YAH YAH YAH YAH'. And a man of ciderous means shallt arrive and attempt to demean the pop-punk, but we shallt once more shout YAH YAH YAH YAH YAH in rebellious tone"

The xbox live version is crap. No Offspring and no real-life places like pizza hut.
