Wouldn't be surprised if the public section sells out before the HC even starts, which is crazy considering a ball hasn't been kicked.

Edit: did anyone go for the Amlin Cup ticket deal? Seems alright value. Be great if there was 1 Irish team in either final.

Same here. That interactive map is useless when there is high volume, takes too long and seats are gone.

I finally did the "choose for me" option and took the ones provided, block 128 which isn't great, but at least will do to tide me over.

Got a few Golden Tickets last week (3rd row, upper tier on the halfway, pretty happy with that). Was getting some for a friend just there though and it was a nightmare, the selected seats just kept disappearing. Eventually got 4 seats in the front row Block 127 which is fairly decent. Tickets are a lot cheaper then I was expecting.

The one thing I noticed is that alot of seats seem to be available i.e. there doesn't seem to be a lot being held for what ever 2 teams get there.

Me too.. I was desperately trying to get three together near the front and beside 524... but took about 10 goes and ended up more closer to 522. Still, got tickets, I'm happy out!

Gonna wait closer to the date to get Amlin tickets. I reckon we'll see more discounts then.

ah they were €15 a piece for the terrace so just decided to go with them as I wanted terrace tickets and I can't see there being a massive discount on €15

Got mine. Purposely went for southstand behind the goal. Was in the north stand lower behind the goal on Saturday and the atmosphere and singing was brilliant so went for same again next year. Naturally am hoping Leinster get there but hopefully at least one irish team will be.

There will be more on sale at some point, but not a huge number. 5,000 went last week, from what I read 20,000 today. With 15,000 held back for finalists that's only 10,000 tickets left and some of them will be kept by ERC.

Yeah, they've got a good buzz today on the back of a final weekend, which enables them to flog the restricted views at the end of the sale.

I didn't see the start of the sale, was there any premium on offer? Or will these ever see public sale?

No premium level seats that I saw where on sale, I'd say a small amount may be sold at a future date but can't see a lot being released

That's site is shocking, find good seats, type in words, seats gone, over and over. Then every 5th time or so got through to payment and got various 'access forbidden' and 'unknown errors' over and over. By the time the site actually worked all the good groups of seats were gone!

Still looks like some people missed out altogether so happy we got sorted at all.

Every time I clicked on certain seats and wanted to go to checkout it would come up that the seats where now gone.

Bit of a joke the system they have for selecting the seats yourself.

The selecting your own seats things is great 99% of the time, it just wasn't built for a scenario such as this where there is a massive rush for tickets. They shouldn't have enabled it for this game, but then I don't think the initial public allocation for a final has ever gone so quickly.

Cheers. They were the last two left at pitch side at all. I tried 6 or 7 times. Each time someone had taken the tickets I selected.

I have never been at a Rugby match before so these ain't bad for what will be my first !!!

Yes but if they sold 20,000 today and 5,000 last week - there won't be very many left, particularly if they hold back about 13 or 14k for the finalists.
that's a total of around 40,000 out of the 50,000 gone already.
The premium and box seats will also still have to be allocated and the ERC will take their cut of the remainder.
I reckon we'll be lucky to see more than 1,000 or 2,000 go on public sale.
A lot of it will depend on who gets to the final.

2003 was a sell-out when it looked like Munster and Leinster might get to it but on the day only about 30,000 (IIRC) showed up and they left all the bucket seats in place from an earlier soccer match because many people didn't bother showing up.

This game sells out anyway.
They were flying out the door earlier.

So if you lifted a pair, you probably did the right thing.
