Never seen it fly .... ( unless you count the 70s at Northolt )

The Pembroke arrived in Weston on 10/11/2016 from Coventry and it has not flown since.

Yeah it was loud. And you could hear it coming from a long way out. Just had a look at the wiki about it, and there was noise complaints about it at certain airports. Lovely looking plane though.

Could have had floats installed for the delivery flight.

Anybody in this thread know anyone currently studying at NFC in Weston? Just looking to get some opinions/info from those currently there. Thanks!

Duffy's Circus is at Weston this next week. I like the way they're utilizing the facilities to keep it viable.

Are they closing the airfield for it or is it going by the car dealership?

Weston is having a pissup on the runway for most of the evening on Saturday

It isn't explicitly in the NOTAMs, the opening hours for the week are Sunday-Friday but there's nothing in advance to suggest its closed.

Is it strict PPR or could we end up getting buzzed? :pac:

I believe it will be €10 per person admission.

16 without a discount code. Presume that's cheaper than the current landing fees anyway!

Eventually the airfield was NOTAMed as closed from 1200 on. Someone did a flightline over the runway and there was a copter movement but that was it.

The Dove and Bucaneeer looked great in the good light

Anything interesting coming in for bray?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,001 ✭✭✭Pat Dunne

Just a little over 2 days before the Weston Events Organiser's start this event and so far they have failed to announce any aircraft line up. A bit like a music festival not announcing which bands are playing.
At this stage it nothing more than a glorified Parish Fete with a €10 admission fee for Adults and Kids aged over 12

It's bray airshow not Weston airshow. Some planes just land here.

Or is there something else I'm not aware of?

This is the Weston topic and not the Bray Airshow topic.
I only referring to what Weston have supposedly planned for this weekend.

Ah yeah, I understand. But usually a few planes that attend bray usually land and stay overnight in Weston. Was just wondering what if anything was coming in?
