@Dayz/Arma 2 server

€58 quid a month for a 40 man, located in Dublin with www.clanwarz.com Thats who Yitsack pays for the mumble server. I would suggest paying 3 months upfront and seeing how it fares, BUT we may pay for a server that we cant actually play on.

Is your server remote desktop or control panel managed? Would prefer irish tbh and if it has Remote well its a much better offerring.

Windows 2008 is best for Arma servers.

Its has full RDP access and is hosted in Dublin by an Irish Hosting company, it also has a control panel to allow managment of firewall rules etc

Im leaning towards that, the reason we need remote is we have to install the mods on the server manually.

So for all the updates and any additional mods we will need full access to it. We used to login and download the mods directly to our server.

Theres 12 of us in (3 havent posted that i know).

Do you want to handle the financials? (create a thread with the exact monies of people who paid, dont ever go chasing money )

I reckon we get the irish one.

Yea probably the easiest way to go, maybe get everyone who is interested to reply here now and I can PM email details for paypal and get the server rolling. If we get enough people we can go with the higher spec and have 50 or 60 slots on it.

I'm in.

I do like the idea of adjusting the timezone though, so we aren't playing in pitch dark every evening.

Also, I'd be in favour of the 50/60 player server.

The way we looked after finances with the old Arma 2 server was to create a spread sheet of people who said they were paying and keep track of it that way, if that helps.

This has been requested. While we do want to have some "reserved slots" this effectively requires either a lot of scripting or changes to the base game code.

It is something that is being worked on but it is not finished.......

Would say €10 a month per person but depends on numbers, so just leave it at a tenner imo. As it gaurantees 2 months server if everyone pays a tenner at the beginning. Obviously the more than pay the longer the server is up.
