    Not trying to draw you out at all i am aware its a term of offence used by northern UK loyalists however im unaware of what it actually means. therefore it doesnt offend me.. however i am a bit shocked to see words noted by others as being derogatory to Irish people being banded about on this forum.. & yes we do have a good sense of humour. you need one being a "taig" (or tarrier or fenian etc etc ) in Glasgow

    taig, comes from tadhg (timmy), which was the most common name in ireland before patrick.
