Im still gamer, Im just sticking to playing wii games, wii u games and 3ds games, no other type of games

If you don't mind me asking, what are you going to do when they eventually cease making games for these platforms or when they stop working?

Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012 video game) 21 March 2013 for wii u

In addition, the Wii U version features three unique features to make it the "Enhanced Version". The Wii U version includes a new co-op feature that allow players to team up with friends. The new local co-op mode, called Co-Driver, lets one player drive using a Wii Remote or the Wii U Pro Controller and another use the GamePad to provide control and navigation assistance on an interactive real-time map.

Additionally, the Wii U version supports full gameplay on the GamePad, allowing users to play independently from the TV. The GamePad can also be used to change mods and switch cars.[21] The Wii U version also includes content from the previously-released Ultimate Speed Pack on-disc.

The Wii U version also features the higher res/quality assets, same as the PC version, which the PS3/Xbox versions did not have. :D

Yep, it's a port done right.
I'd get it if I could stand playing racing games.

On a scale of the Karting minigame in Mortal Kombat to MarioKart Wii or Doubledash, where would you put Sonic?
And if you had to choose between New Super Mario Bros U vs both Sonic and Batman : Arkham City, which would you take?

Don't get Arkham city... Didn't enjoy it that much. Mario u is very good plus Doc coming soon that let's you play solely as luigi and is meant to be a gamechanger with extra levels etc...

i consider sonic all star racing transformed the closest rival to mario kart.

level design is amazing , loads of courses, characters, stickers, trophies to unlock

    has online

    killer soundtrack.

personally i prefer it over mario kart but im a sega fanboy :P

i say you have great fun with it till mario kart comes out.

the Karting minigame in Mortal Kombat is much harder to control then mario kart games or sonic racing games

I'd go with sonic and batman but purely because I don't see the point of playing 2D Mario anymore.

Thanks Wampy - I was aware of that which is why it is the Zero end of my scale. Both it and MarioKart were the known quantities in the question I asked, with Sonic racing being the unknown that I wanted to calibrate. But thanks for playing :)

You have your finger on the Nintendo Pulse - hell, with the scoops you get I think you could sub the word Prostate in for Pulse - what's the single best single player game on the WiiU that's available to buy today?

Also, as the defacto pope of Nintendland, do I have your blessing to buy a WiiU?

    Get out!!!!!!!

    (Mario Wii U is brilliant)

@ Banjo and single player games
I've played both ZombiU and Mario and I personally preferred Mario. ZombiU is very good but it's not for everyone and is very buggy (I got a game breaking one just before the last level that prevented me from finishing that playthrough )

Mario is brilliant fun and imo is the best in the New Mario series. The dlc that's coming also looks like it could give it new life.

I haven't played Batman (already played it on xbox). From what I've read the additions (i.e. the armour) actually unbalance the combat so if you've already played it it might not be worth it. There are supposed to be some frame rate issues as well.

I unfortunately don't have the breadth of knowledge you're looking for but hopefully that's some help.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,763 ✭✭✭wampyrus77

mario kart or Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed they are clearly the best

...so, Amazing Spider-Man is out for WiiU on March 8. Everything after that first sentence is a waste of cut-and-paste. :pac:

It was context. The Wampster doesn't judge, he doesn't flavour the news with bias or partisanship. He simply reports the facts, sometimes 9 months after they ceased to be relevant.

Btw, spidey 2 on GC beats spidey 3 on Wii for sheer stupid feeling-super-human fun. And Arkham Asylum nails what it (probably) feels like to be Batman, so he's right on that count too.

Ah, I see. ;) Yeah I absolutely loved Spidey 2 on gamecube, so much fun web-slinging through the sky around Central Park and finding higher and higher skyscrapers to scale. I wonder what the Amazing Spider-Man will be like in comparison, haven't played or seen the other console versions...

Any particular reason? I thought it was a better game than Asylum, but the story and characters didn't carry it as well.

I'd say it's a good stop gap for Wii U but bricks'n'mortars are still asking for 50 to 60 quid for it (from what I've seen anyway).

Pick it up on ebay.co.uk from Zavvi for around €21 plus €2 shipping, some bargains to be had on eBay

Sonic is better than any MK of the last decade

along ebay bargains not second hand, a friend Liam brought second hand ipod nano from ebay for €70 and turn out to be broken ipod, and didnt say broken from seller on ebay and Liam had to go repair shop the charge him other €70 to get the ipod nano fixed. After all that the total price for ipod nano was €140 and would cost you €140 to buy brand new ipod nano in any store

It's £18.44 on Amazon, so about €22.50 from them. You'll get free delivery if you order something else to get the total cost to £25.

I played it on PC. It's an excellent game. Not sure if I preferred it or Asylum since they're both very good.

If you haven't played it yet on anything, sure why not get it on Wii U.

Is RE:Revs going to be the same game as the one on the 3DS, or a companion piece?
Also, is that dude who warps around the room with some sort of black hole vagina in his chest the final boss, and how do I stop him knocking me over and beating me up?
(There's a great name for a band in there somewhere)

    JACK NORMAN
Norman is a member of Veltro who injects himself with the T-Abyss virus and has a very Tyrant-like appearance.
Norman's main move is to turn invisible and teleport to you. You'll get a bit of a warning so be ready to shoot him. His arm swing is powerful enough to knock you on your ass, so if that happens, keep pressing the Y button to get up. He can also pick you up and skewer you if you let him get close enough. He has a long reach and just his arm hitting the ground can knock you down, so while he's winding up his attack, keep shooting him. Always aim for his heart/head. Another trick he has is projecting a mirror image of himself. The real one will be the one with purple mist coming out of his mouth. There will be times when he creates a mirror image so that's the only thing you see, and then he'll pop up behind it as it vanishes. Try not to be fooled. The mirror image can't do any damage to you. If you turn around and try to run from it, chances are, the real Norman will get you from out of nowhere.
