Yep it is up for grabs but we are F'd, we lose the tiebreaker to Tenn & Miami and have to play KC twice and Denver once not to mention the Bengals. Stick a fork in them lads we are done. Here's to the 2014 Draft.
SD are capable of beating the Chiefs.

The Chiefs will struggle against any QB capable of thinking fast and getting rid of the ball quickly and Rivers is more than up to the task. If SD can score more than 21 points it is unlikely that the Chiefs offence can match it - particularly if SD stop the run.

8-8 or 9-7 for wildcard. No way our chargers can go 4-2 or even 5-1 with the games remaining. If anything we are regressing a bit at the moment.

2 losses @ denver and kansas straight away. Its not going to happen.

Maybe in SD but I don't give us a chance in KC where the home crowd will make it too hard on our O.

Our D is pathetic so no doubt we'll let them run and pass all over us in both games.

Their offence is equally pathetic. 24 points against them and yous will win, i would not rule it out. I wouldnt rule out that they could be quite flat coming off a big loss just there as well. Get Mathews going and if Rivers has a solid to good performance, you can definitely beat them.

    Win or bust this week.

Really hope Melvin doesn't play this year.
No need to risk his career.

I'm looking forward to Gates making Berry looking ordinary. Had done well against him everytime we have played Kansas.

Big improvement needed from our secondary if we are going to win

Yeah first couple of times Gates met Berry he had him for breakfast but Berry has come a long way since then. KC is v beatable but I don't think our chances are good in their house and it matters little after the debacle in Oakland, Washington, Miami and Tennessee.

I know it can't be done but I'm all for throwing the towel in and getting as far up the draft board as possible.

One game down and now two huge home games.

Shows how much I know. Never expected us to win in Arrowhead. I was questioning our will to win last week...well they showed some serious balls to run up 41 pts in Kansas and come from behind at the death. Rivers again the leader behind an O-line that stepped up on the day.

Still dont think we have the D to threaten that last wildcard though.

Some ride following these Chargers thats for sure.

Yeah u sure get your moneys worth with the Bolts don't you. They are always good for 1 last tease only to fall flat on their face down the line.

Great win though even if McCoy did his best to create another TN game with the playcalling on the second to last drive. KC did lose their best 2 pass rushers as well but F it look at the state of our OLBs it's not like we've got our 1st stringers out there.

Rivers immense, Ladarius Green (how gr8 is it to see him getting some gametime) and Woodhead were great. Have we seen the last of Cox or can he come back from 3 benchings in 4 weeks?

4 home games what more could we ask for.
Benegals should be a good game. I think we be fine in the run defence, just keep the big plays down in the passing game and no more missed tackles and we will be there or there abouts in the fourth quarter.

Once our offence is firing we can compete in the 4 home games no doubt about it.
Really hope we don't rush Ingram back though.

    A cornerback or two?

    A pass rush?

(seeing as we're on a theme here!!)

We are in the playoffs race, we have a good offence.
A defence that had a pass rush and will again next year when our Linebacker are healthy.

I agree corner is a worry. Wright i think will be fine with a pass rush helping him. Look at KC what happened to Flowers etc when there pass rush disappeared.

I think 4 of the final 5 games are reasonable. KC may rest players. Oakland at home is always win able. NY having to travel is great and Benegals are a solid team but no world beaters.

    Great point Rochey.

I've still got some hope for Wright but Cox can gtfo.

Was also great to see Alexander at the game.
Was great to see Teo blowing up plays, he gets more confidence and more coaching we have two MLBs for years to come.

AJ Green against our secondary is scary but lets roll the dice.

I've seen Danario on the sideline loads of times but have not seen Malcom. I guess Malcom is/has been told to take it real easy. I'd love to see Danario get past all these knee injuries but I fear he may be as good as done.

    1 last tease eh?.....

    So much for 2013.

Desperate performance by the front 7 esp the D line starters. Cam and Reyes can GTFO, both of em are either overmatched or not putting it in. In Cam's case it is the latter for me.

As for Gates... jeeeeeeez.... Father Time how are ya maybe?. Not good enough I'm afraid.

Keenan gets a mulligan. He is the only WR worth a damn. Vincent Brown, shocking season. I wonder will he ever amount to anything.

So many needs.... NT, corners, SS (if Brandon Taylor is not the answer which he must not be as he doesn't even dress on a Sunday), at least 1 Guard (I don't want to see Clary after this yr), a Left Tackle......

That was a totally lame performance. The Bengals didnt even play that well. They didnt have to. We just dont have it mentally. We produce big performances and virtually always follow it up with a lame ass effort a week later. Some of this group just dont have it in them to win week in week out. This is the NFL..your career is short..you only play 16 games a year at least...God almighty..give us 100% every week please!!!!!!

No excuses. 10pts at home fighting for a wild card. Not good enough. Why are even surprised. Why do we bother coming in here every week. Same old same old. I really feel for the good guys on that team. They dont deserve the scrubs they share the locker room with.

Too many gaps to fill. Won't be able to do it in next year's draft, so I'm not expecting great things next season unless FA season is somehow miraculous.

If Telesco has another draft like this year's though, it'd be amazing. I think we've the best draft class by far this year.

Mentally?.... we don't have it physically either. Compare our D to the killers they have on D, Harrison, Burfict, Maulauga, the safeties.... all lads who love to lay the wood and inflict pain. Our bunch are afraid to make a tackle nevermind make a hit. We need a massive change in personnel that side of the ball. Screw the nice guys with no off the field issues. Let's get us some mean & nasties who will make others accountable too.

But you're right there are lads not putting it in and it is amazing that they are not being called to account by their peers nevermind coaches. We need a few Sean O'Briens!!!.

Surely Keenan Allen is fantastic value for offensive rookie of the year at 50/1
Rated by a lot of people as the best receiver in the draft.

Will start in San Diego imo beating out Eddie Royal, even if he dont, Flloyd will probably not play all the time.

Has looked good all pre season.

On the whole mentality thing, clearly that is an area that AJ and TT had tried to improve. Imo we dont need guys like Harrison or Burfict (Even though I wanted to throw a late round at him)

We have brought in guys like Fluker, Freeney, JJ, Teo, Woodhead, even Taylor a LSU captain.
These guys are leaders and guys who love football and want to win.
Teo really impressing me how he is blowing up plays a full off season and he could be a real star.

Still sick from it but hey on to the Giants.

Can't agree on Te'o just yet Rochey. I just don't see it. I see a slow timid player so far. Maybe he'll get it and be something but all in all his rookie yr has been a wash.

I have to agree with you on Fluker, JJ and to a lesser extent Woodhead. Fluker is looking like he could be one of the best picks ever, as long as he plays RT. To me it's clear now that he is serviceable on the Left but not a mainstay. I read Dunlap will be back Sunday, it will be interesting to see does Clary stick at RG. Troutman was poor v the Bengals so funny enough he might be the one to lose out and not Rinehart.

JJ needs to be on the field. I heard he did make a speech to the D a couple of weeks back, not sure it made much of an impression though the way they got smashed by the Bengals. As for Taylor F me... one has to seriously question what's going on there, that he cannot be dressed on a Sunday what with some of the play we've seen in our secondary.

I wouldn't worry about mentality, I be more cornered about coaching. We have 4 guys on oline we had last year and the difference is massive, because of coaching.

We didn't have guys like Harrison when LT was around. I didn't like the Taylor pick but he had to gamble since Harrison went to the Vikings.

I don't think Teo plays slow at all, he has be good in coverage not got beat yet. He is hesitant making the tackle but that is easily fixed with confidence and an off season. Really like them first 3 picks.

Gotta win this week, can't let Eli come to SD and beat us.

Really good night in the woolshed watching the chargers on the big screen while the giants fans left early.

Keenan rookie of the year, gutted I didn't back him. Teo had a really solid game again. Great draft by TT. Was impressed with Ingram for his first game back.
Ain't a clue why but I'm convinced we will win tomorrow night.

We where so unlucky with Miami and Baltimore nearly losing.

Cam demoted to 2nd string NT, glad to see it. Been saying it for weeks the guy is not trying. Dump his fat u know what after this year.

C'mere anybody know does gamepass black out the Thursday night game as it is on Sky?, thinking of doing an all nighter for this one.

Have a good feeling about tonight. A big night from Allen to seal ROY and Matthews to put himself over 1000 yardss rushing! Big play or two from Green as well.

Wow I thought I heard we were something like +8 no?

EDIT: just checked PP giving +10.5

Who is staying up for it? or waking early to watch it delayed?

I think I might get up about 5AM and watch it delayed/skip the ads.
