Exactly, if they cant cope with the volume of people on a normal Wednesday how can they cope during Cheltenham, you dont want the site to go down when your about to stick €100 on a horse and it ends up winning!!!!

I suspect this is a backlash from the mafia for paddy power daring to take bets on the Euros :p

How long has it been down since today? Now saying to me that it "should return at 16:30 GMT, 7th of March 2012"

Not good 6 days before 4 of the biggest betting days of the year!! Dunno can they be trusted now for Cheltenham.

should be fun next week when paddy crashes minutes before
the gold cup and then it'll take 10mins just to place a bet
    over the fone
ill be with bet365 all week for it for all the offers and the possibility
of free bets on races if i manage to choose a few winners

on another note, what a joke of an offer on their website
an offer for retards or someone who likes throwing away money

Place a single stake of £/€10 or more on Virtual Horse Racing.
You will receive a £/€5 Cheltenham Free Bet INSTANTLY
Giddy up and choose your horse and get ready to cheer it on!

Get into them for the laugh on live chat and ask for odds on the site crashing during cheltenham .:pac:

say you have it as a 1/2shot and are hoping the traders will offer higher

What's up with Paddy Power's live help recently? Have they cut back on staff?

50th in the queue now. Tried earlier and similarly high position. Waited 15 minutes and left.

Edit: And I'm still waiting... 50 minutes later and I'm 7th in the queue.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 180 ✭✭ConorBFC3

Fucking bullshit this! Finally got connected and ended up getting re-queued. I have now been re-queued six times...

I have to say I have found there are real issues with the Paddypower website from my laptop for the last month or so and the brother had the same issue yesterday.

Im not sure what there up to but the web pages are so slow to navigate and
    croashes a lot.

Considering they were only highlighting how there profits from online business had improved last year you would think they would invest
in keeping there website runnung smoothly.

I am getting discouraged by the whey it runs at present and will
consider other sites if they dont improve.

Must have been due to the volume of bets but could never understand why people leave it till the last minute to have a bet.
You know when the bookies have had a good day when you arrive into a shop and there's no queue of people looking to get paid at 5pm!

Was backing Ballabriggs with Sky Bet as they were 6 places, couldn't get on until they had verified my age but couldn't be bothered sending them a copy of my passport so went to Boyles 5 places and of course the nag finished 6th :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,071 ✭✭✭TheStook

I wasn't affected by this but i can't imagine how irritating it would be, especially if your horse had of won. Was it just Paddypowers or were there any other sites that went down?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 180 ✭✭ConorBFC3

Missed out on the 3PM kick-offs ffs!

Better get a free bet for this!

Did my national bets yesterday/this morning but normally I like to wait right until the off in a lot of races because I like to see how the horse goes down to the start and watch for movements in the betting. Missed out on Oscar Whisky in the 3.25 today as the site was down. I realise that it's one of the busiest betting days of the year but betting is Paddy Power's business. They should be able to handle/put in place plans to deal with the extra traffic on days like this.
