Although, keep in mind that that blog says that Samsung invented the colour blue. :D
I suppose anything's possible when your design team is innovative enough to make a phone that's "designed for humans" :P

I asked that and its actually less @ 289.99 I was told :)

I doubt this is available to new customers, i reckon its the fact that i am already on that tarrif is my saving grace.

Thanks, I'm on the same tariff as you with only 2 months left so might try ringing them up and asking for that too, seems like a good deal!

Just called three about the delivery of the sg3 today they said it won't be delivered as there is a shortage of the pebble blue coloured handsets, and it could be another 3/4 weeks before they have them in stock yet when i called yesterday to just confirm that the phone would be delivered today they said yes so i have wasted a whole morning staying at home waiting on a delivery that was never going arrive .

If anyone gets the vodafone pay as you go I'd be interested to know if its unlocked. Last two phones (SG2 and Nexus) were so hoping Vodafone haven't got around to locking the S3 yet.

I reckon networks are giving up bothering with locking the phones as its become so easy to unlock them now,

Expansys say they expect white stock tomorrow.

Even though the page for the page for the white says a couple of days, and the blog........the actual order status estimate is 8 days.
The Samsung cases have also being pushed out nearly 3 weeks.

It has been known to happen when phones are brand new alright though, that they have limited stock and to make as much money as possible, they'll only sell it to bill-pay customers. I think it happened to a few people on here when the One X launched a month or so back.

Then again, as far as I can tell , all operators have it up for prepay on their website, Three being the cheapest I think @ €559, which is a very good price tit would appear, if the phones come unlocked, and I suspect they will.

Actually, I'd love to know what the networks are paying samsung for the phones, even on prepay prices, I imagine they're still making at least €50 or so..

How do I unlock my galaxy SI??

I have the unlock code but if I put in a different netword SIM, as vodafone suggest, and enter the code it states incorrect code.

If any of the networks will lock it you can be damn sure three will, I think they were the only one who bothered to lock the s2 last year and all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,535 ✭✭✭Zonda999

Well, Spains VAT rate is 18% compared to 23% so it should be cheaper, only by about 20 or 25€ though I reckon, if any in reality..

I got a delivery this afternoon which happened to be an SG3(WHITE) even though I cancelled the order due to them not having the blue coloured one in stock for another few weeks,I'm tempted to open it up but I really want to hold out for the blue one anyway if I ordered the blue one of three why did they send out a white one ffs.
Looks like I'm going have to wait for another few weeks and hide the white one as I could be tempted to open it.

Well, the worst it can be is a waste of time, seeing as you would meet up with some one to exchange the item and the cash..

No pictures of the device though..

Honestly I don't know too much about how upgrades on billplan works etc. I am on the Meteor 12months E35 billplan which is over in 5 days. Am I correct in the assumption that when my plan expires and I am interested in the GSIII it would cost me E290? I keep hearing ppl getting free upgrades etc. for phones when their contract expires (It's my first time on bill pay). Doesn't sound that good considering the pay-as-you go deals available nowadays from 3, emobile etc. Was only considering to stay on Billpay for a discounted/free GS3 but if it costs E290 anyways (like the 18months contract which is cheaper on a monthly basis however) and you still pay E35/month not sure if its that great of a deal in that case but other people may differ.

Funny, In all the pics I've seen of the S3, I always came away thinking the S2 still looked better. That was until I put them side by side and I must admit the S3 just blows the S2 out of the water.

    All IMO you understand.

There will be phones you can get for free like the Galaxy Ace Plus or HTC One V but you will not get a Galaxy S 3 for free. Bear in mind that you give Meteor about 420e a year for all your calls/texts/internet etc, they are hardly going to give you a phone worth 600 for free!
