I cannot wait to see this! Was hoping to hear some firefly heads pop up in this. Getting brilliant reviews so far.

Looking forward to it myself. Going to an early showing. Some things are more important than work.

Just back from seeing this now. Was feckin brilliant. Laughed throughout the whole film. It incorporates every horror character you could imagine into one movie. For the first half an hour, it was very WTF?? but then once you kinda start to make sense of it in your own head it all starts to come together.

Would definitely recommend, tho not if you don't like blood and guts!

No and I don't plan to, doesn't look like it's worth wasting any time going to see.

Then go on out of that until you know what you're on about.

Personally thought it was one of the most entertaining horror films in years. Better than Tucker and Dale vs Evil and that is high praise indeed. Think Evil Dead meets Ghostbusters, but as good as both. I can't wait to see it again! Oh...and I don't give a rats ass that it wasn't scary, the entertainment factor was enough to keep me very happy.

I read the ending online, haha what a piece of ****.

Who could like this movie? Seriously going to be the worst movie in years.

I'm just fed up with people going on about this movie. Telling people it sucks then all of a sudden they start shoving Rotten Tomatoes in my face, why are they so obsessed with RT?

i read a few reviews today in the papers today which stated
the less you know about this film the better yet the distributors
has seemed to be giving the game away with all these tv trailers.

don't they know when to keep their holes shut???

Whedon and Goddard were responsible for the trailers. Based on their interviews on Aint It Cool News, the trailers do not give the game away at all.

A quote from Goddard: "What we see in the trailer we give away in the first two minutes of the movie."

Okay this thread was fun for a while but now I'm too scared to read anything lest it gets spoiled. I've only seen bits of the trailer and heard snippets of opinions, all positive, so now I gotta bow out and I'll be back after I see the flick! :D

I'm just back from seeing this and it was really good, a much sharper script and knowingly self-aware take on the established (and shlocky) tropes/conventions/clichés that an awful lot of modern horror cinema revolve around. Sort of like the film Scream would want to be when it grows up, in a good way.

If you don't like Joss Whedon's other material, you might not enjoy this - but if you've liked his work, there's a lot to enjoy here.

While this is true, it would still have been better left out of the ads... I didn't see any ads before so yay!
