Will do but only in a limited way - 2 girls snogging and feeling each other up. It was an exhibition and yes, it got my attention and I looked - but soon as they saw me looking I got the hairies!

Have you never seen a straight couple feeling each other up outside a nightclub? You do get around dear. Not that I agree with it though, it's very naughty indeed.

So you are just interested in chastising me regarding my posts rather than actually engaging in debate. Move on somewhere else troll

OP, have you never gotten carried away with a partner in public? I know I have, just have all of my friends- most of whom are straight. I don't quite understand why this is a 'gay' thing all of a sudden...

You still haven't addressed my earlier request for clarification around your usage of the phrase "Murphy's Law"...

if a straight couple did the same I would question their motivation, just like I am regarding gay couples and the amount of them who engage in such behaviour

Why do you question their motivation regardless of the sexuality of the two individuals involved?

Why do you assume that they (particularly LGBT's) are looking for attention/a reaction when they do this?

Is it so hard to accept that maybe they are just doing it for their own personal pleasure?

I wear the face of my girlfriend as much as she lets me. My consideration of situation ends there to be honest, within reason of course.

You seem to have an issue with gay couples doing this though (more so than straight couples) - in the original post you questioned the motivations of gay couples but didn't question that of straight couples

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Is the heavy petting putting impure thoughts in your mind? Three Our Fathers and ten Hail Marys. Sound like some repressed sexual desires could be at play here!

Quite honestly I've never noticed such things and I've done a fair bit of socialising in my time - not to mention the aul' heavy petting! Don't know why a grown, married man would be bothered about this. It's like something an old nun would be offended by! :D

As I said at the start (its a good idea to read the thread before commenting!;)) I think that this behaviour i more common among gay couples and I posted here querying this is the case

Make I invoke the "Pics, Gifs or GTFO" clause?

You failed to address the point I was making and instead assumed I didn't read the thread before posting, which I actually did. Well done :)

I want to know why you question the motivation of people engaged in what you describe? Why do you assume that they are 'looking for a reaction'?

You're like a broken record. You ask if gay people are more exhibitionist- everyone who has posted has said no, yet you keep on. Just because you are not getting the answers you want doesn't give you the right to keep on about it, and accusing people of not engaging with you. Disagreement is engagement, you know.

Yea, everything has a sexual agenda???? Wait, no, it doesn't. I wonder where such a mindset comes from?

Yea, and issuing infractions without explanation is engagement too I guess? Oh wait, no, its reaction, not engagement!

Withdraw that and try to engage in adult discussion if possible please

Adult discussion usually involves addressing the points being made. Would you like to discuss the topic? Because I'm more than happy to, if you actually engage with what people are saying on here. If you're just going to be a broken record and not actually have an adult discussion, then it's a bit pointless to be honest.

There is only one place I would agree with the OP on this; the bus stop on Suffolk street, any time I find myself waiting for a bus there there's always two young ones wearing the face off each other. I'm fairly sure it's not always the same ones, must be some new kink...

But other than that, sorry OP, you're on your own. Maybe they just attract your attention more so than their straight counterparts?

I was going to argue it's the opposite but there are more straight people than gay, proportions may be the same.

We have all tried to engage with you. You break the rules that have been agreed upon by all posters, then you get infractions.

Keep going the way you are and you'll get a ban.

Withdraw what? The fact that you appear to have a problem with gay people? How can I? Your whole posting history projects this appearance.

If it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck....

Thats exactly it - why do people do such things in public except to get a reaction. I include straight couples in this but I dont see much of it versus gay couples leading to the question - why? exhibitionism is my answer - whats yours?

OP, you have only given ONE example of seeing a same-sex couple getting jiggy in public. In order to have any kind of hope for a structured debate with merit, you need to have more than one instance.

Then what is your issue or the issue as you see it?

Given that 10% of the population is deemed to be gay I find it very hard to believe that you've encountered many more gay people engaged in public displays of affection than straight people - it doesn't stack up.

Personally, I don't think it matters a jot - there are many more things I'd be bothered with on a night out such as drunken, rowdy and anti-social behaviour on the streets, etc. Two people kissing or getting it on - live and let live.

There is a time and a place for everything - I see too many gay couples choosing the wrong time and place for overly sexual displays of affection. I presume this is not a view shared here?

That's not what you said in the opening post. You're now posting contradictory thoughts.
    Hi all,
Just wanted to get views from you guys/gals regarding LGBT people being too "in your face" in public acts of affection which, in my experience become acts of exhibitionism. I think its in bad taste regardless of whether its from straight couples or gay couples but I think that a lot of the gay community engage in this behaviour to provoke a response. Your thoughts?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? 10 people replied to you - 9 people disagreed with you so yes your presumption would seem to be correct
