The butler refuses to do it anymore.
So its either do it myself or get married.
Life is just to damn short for it.
So I am starting a campaign to get creased clothes in fashion.
    Who is with me.

Creased clothes are in fashion in my wardrobe. I just wad them into a big ball and yank one out at random in the mornings. My girlfriend does the same.

I don't get paid enough to go to work in a shirt, let alone an ironed shirt.

I heard a rumour that you can pay someone to do all your ironing.

    Mad isn't it?

I haven't ironed anything in years, because I take **** out of the washing machine/dryer as soon as they're done, hey presto no creases, or at least none that would concern me.

Wear your clothes to bed the night before, the heat from your body will cause the creases to fall out of them....job done!

Put them on the heater before you wear them (it's cold these mornings anyways), put them on, they iron themselves on you... Problem solved. I haven't ironed in about a year, and I'm a woman

getting married for ironed clothes may not be always work... most of the women that work here wear creased clothes.... also getting married can be detrimental to your sex life.

Jesus where are you working as most places have dress codes...

I don't iron anything my dresses or skirts don't crease, my folded t shirts don't either, what else cardigans, tights yeah nothing I wear needs ironing.

I could understand shirts and certain materials needed it, but sure just do it while watching the telly.

I would love to have someone to iron my sheets, that would be nice but not worth my time.

I can't remember the last time I ironed something. Even things that need to be ironed I can't bothered. Sure the creases sort themselves out.

My house-mate on the other hand irons everything- including her bedclothes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,264 ✭✭✭✭jester77

I never iron, tried it once and disaster, especially sleeves. You iron one side of the sleeve it just irons in a crease on the other, turn over and you end up with a crease or line on the side you just ironed. Dry cleaners ftw, money well spent :)

I've never owned an iron in my life. I just hang clothes in bathroom and switch the shower on full blast to iron my clothes.

So yeah I guess steam is my butler. He's shit at hoovering though.

For those new to the ironing scene ,remember to turn your pants ,jeans ,trousers inside out for less crease and no shine .

So many people don't know this.

And if you fall into that category, and you only remember one thing today, than make it be this nugget of wisdom. Avoid looking like an amateur for the rest of your life.

the Ironing Scene. I can picture it now, a big warehouse that opens between 9 am - 5 pm were all the hardcore ironmongers go and get down to Joe Duffy and P Diddy kenny on the FM while giving it loads on the ironing board.
