Completely agree. Jayden is truly awful. Cute toddler ok, but imagine being introduced to a 50 year old man called Jayden.

I'm sure they'll have been shortened to Jay by the time they hit 50!

Watching TV the other day and this typical, all-round American kid was on.

    His name was D'Artangan

He better be cooler than the other side of the pillow with a name like that.

The Rooneys' 3 kids are called Kai, Klay and Kit. KKK. Fucking idiots.

In the late 1980s the town of Killarney had a slogan emblazoned on all the public litter bins in the town which appeared on the bins like this:

    Keep
    Killarney
    Kleen!

And yes, all the "K"s were in bold.

I am not making that up! I was only a teen myself so I was laughing at how obviously inappropriate it was, not to mention the spelling of "clean". No doubt someone thought it was very clever at the time though.

I have a William. He's the only grandchild so far on my side of the family, but my brother's missus is due in a few days and Michael is a strong contender if it's a boy. My dad is dead set against it, because my sister's partner's name is Richard ... she's not pregnant yet, but my dad's afraid of ending up with three grandsons called William, Michael and Richard - Willie, Micky and Dick! :D

They had a little Micky ... now we're only waiting for my sister to announce the imminent arrival of wee Dick to join Micky and Willy! :D

    Tuppence

    Ethyl, Beryl (self-consciously vintage)

    Bláthmac.

    Disgusting names.

Then again, I'd like to name my children Jupiter, Circe and Egypt. Mercury might be in the mix, but I'm not sure it's appropriate to name a child after a poison.

Although, Hemlock has a ring to it.

I was on holiday a few years back and two kids were acting the maggot, the father looked to his wife, points to his kids and says "Dem cúnts are cúnts".

Don't know why I posted that, the thread title gave me a flash back of that event for some reason?

    Tanner!

Every second young lad I coached in America was called Tanner. Horrible, horrible name.

My brother claims that a classmate of his sister's name is Truly Scrumptious. I'm still not 100% sure if I believe him but his friends back him up. The classmate's name is Twiggy apparently. Pure evil to both kids if that's the truth.

Ive heard the same name...Truly Scrumptious....and I heard it from a teacher in the school. Wish I hadnt heard the name when my mouth was full....

That might suit my friends currently nameless dog, thanks for that :D

Mentioned a few times in this thread but met a Gertrude, and everyone called her Gerty which made it worse, Gerty sounds like a Donkey name to me.
    Lovely girl, awful name :(

Ha. I can't remember. All I recall was she was my junior infants love rival.

Madison is a horrible name, but I've never actually met or heard of one (apart from a character in a cartoon).

my mate became a dad there yesterday and they called the baby Paul. Maybe just me but is it not very dull / zero thoughts put in?!

I encountered a Sebastian, roofis (however that's spelt) and Audrey, all kids on the 39,this week. Poor kids don't stand a chance
