Britney Spears has a Chrismas song. I try to close my ears when it comes on.

And so does Christina Aguilera. It's hard to judge which one of them is worse.

That awful Cliff Richards nightmare, The Lord's Prayer, has to be the very worst. Surely.

I can't stand "Last Christmas". It's repetitive and boring :o:)

Amazing that no-one has mentioned Paul Mc Cartney "simply having a wonderful christmas time" song. Horrible song, only popular cause of the artist.

bit of trivia....the male vocal bit was sung by the producer not the male member of the band

There's some humdingers coming out on Christmas FM but the worst, the WORST has got to be that Christmas Shoes song... are people deliberately trying to make themselves sad?? Kid wanting his mother to look nice if she meets Jesus that night.. cos y'know, she's been sick for quite a while. FFS.

I listened to the lyrics the other day and it's just fcucking depressing. I can picture some texan country singer crowing that on stage...! Hate it!!!!!!

Was listening to Xmas FM in the car the other day. My God, they play some horrific rubbish on that station. It appears that there are only about 30 half decent Christmas songs, and that everything else is someone doing a version of one of those songs. Murdering it acapella (spl?) or doing some horrific soft rock/r&b version of it.

Had to turn it off after half an hour in case I became overcome with road rage and milled into a crowd of unsuspecting bystanders.

That's Damien Rice these bints are butchering. sellout:(
As pointed out by Damien himself, under UK law there is nothing preventing anyone from re-releasing their own version of anyone else's songs, once that song has been publically released. It's nothing to do with agreements or who owns the rights or anything like that.

The conditions are that they can't change the words or the general melody in any significant way, and they must pay the original artist royalties.

While I imagine Damien is terrified that this abomination might actually become popular and get significant airplay, I'm sure he's not worried about the nice cheques that'll start landing on his mat.
