    Only 37 days to go!

If it released when it was originally meant to I would be finished it by now!

If it was released when it was supposed to, I wouldn't be torn between this, Man Of Steel (release day), and the US Open...
    Torn

    Torn

Buy Last of Us, go see Man of Steel while the Day 1 update downloads and installs, watch US Open while eating/having breaks. :)

Have there been any comparisons to Uncharted or any comments on how Ellie is as an AI partner?

Totally forgot about the initial updates... Should be ready to play right after the 18th hole on Sunday!

It's a feature for the PS4 but for this game at least we're getting it early.

If you buy and download the game from PSN then it will be playable at around 50%, with the rest downloading when it can. The game will also be pre-downloadable and then activate on the day.

I've had mine pre-ordered on Amazon a while now. Worked out at about €48 which isn't bad, I can continue claiming that I haven't paid more than €50 for a game since the Gamecube.

Not sure what Amazon's pre-order policy is though. Do they post it on release day? If that's the case then it'll be about 2 or 3 days after before I get to play :(

I don't like waiting, hence one of the reason I don't do a lot of online ordering. I can get the super cool Ellie edition for 90 from gamestop, sold :p

If you want to order online and still have it on release day, Gamesnash is good for that. They usually post it a few days early and are Irish so it's An Post. You wont be waiting weeks for it.

They are usually more expensive than places like Play to be sure, but if you don't mind paying a few euro more, its a good option.

It's actually €47.99 with a guarantee it will beat Gamestop's price so a very good deal.

I heard the digital download from the PSN store will have the ps4-esque feature of being able to play the game after only downloading 50% of the game. I'm guessing its a gigantic file.

Would I have to pay for express post to get it on time or does normal post still cover getting it on time?

I always use normal post and most times arrived on release day, 3 times got a game day before release day and once it arrived a day late (problem with the shipper).

Grand, I'll cancel the Amazon one and order with these guys. Nice to order from an Irish business anyway.

I've got the Joel Edition on preorder here from Tesco in the UK. Costing me £35. Pretty happy with that.

It's £45 with Tesco and I had a £5 off a £35 spend on the site. I also have access to staff discount making it £35/£36 (not too sure). I'm currently living in the UK so no need for me to use parcel motel. But if price was an issue it would be the best way to go about it but you probably wouldn't get it until mid the following week.

Tesco in the UK have been taking preorders for it for some time now, which sold out months back and then returned some hours later. Makes me think that they wont be able to fulfil the demand. Happened to me when I preordered the Join or Die Edition of AC3. Couldn't fulfil my order and let me know too late to do anything about it so they sent me out a regular copy of the game for free and refunded me. If it was to happen with TLOU I wouldn't be too disappointed I suppose.

I saw that. Outrageous price for it.

A dev at Naughty Dog said
And I REALLY can't prepare you for the best MP ever conceived....

Take it as you will from one of the devs, he might be a bit biased but interested to see what they have planned.

Read earlier that The Last of Us idea came from Uncharted 2 when Drake is paired up with the sherpa fella. Naughty Dog were making a tribute to ICO and pairing you up with an AI character that you would actually care about. Sony then asked ND to split the team in 2. 1 team to work on Uncharted 3 and the other on a new project. They then pased the new project on a game where you are paired with an AI character that you would care about and not just another 'escort ai' character.
