Wtf? How many Irish women have been prone to prostitution, pornography, homosexuality and divorce since they were allowed to drive?!

    Bloody religion gone nuts.

Have you at all....pondered what you quoted?

Don't know about the homosexuality, prostitution, pornography and divorce but since women have being allowed to drive in Ireland the parking outside schools has gone crazy :p:p:p:rolleyes:

Jaysus, some of those clerics out abroad and the things they come out with and do are hardly to be believed. Next thing they'll be fcuking children!:):)

Aren't we lucky we don't have cnuts like them in Ireland!

I can't see how driving would affect a woman's virginity unless she allowed the gear stick to deflower her.

Threatens their virginity ? this Law could never work in Ireland, what age can you drive at.

@ Orange2 out of interest where did you get that quote, have you got a reference for it?

This is what happens when you let religion rule society.
Saudis have a long anti-human track record. This isn't the worst they've done.

Only 60 years ago they still kept slaves, 20% of the population was slaves in the 50s.
And they still do it. Designated a tier 3 country, as the government does not do much to stop human trafficking.
Racist, sexist and pig ignorant - what a place.

Nice to see tolerance among some Muslim men continues:rolleyes:

A migrant worker from Bangladesh faces life imprisonment in the UAE for chopping off his wife's fingers to keep her from studying.(Nice of his family to dispose of them in order to stop doctors from re-attaching them:mad:)

Another worker in June gouged out his wife's eyes.

With intolerance coming from clerics it seems some Muslim men feel their actions are correct no matter how crazy or vile they are just because a holy man says so.

Can we not just drop a big fcukin bomb on the middle east and be done with it.

It threatens their driving virginity, so the clerics have a point.

It's not driving that's the issue, it's what goes on when you're parked. And for me, learning to drive didn't threaten my virginity so much as ensure that it was extinct.

    What a despicable regime.

If the US/UK were serious about spreading democracy and freedom they would have hit S. Arabia before Iraq.

And they would have hit the EU before Saudi Arabia.

Brussels needs the USAF and RAF to give it a bit of shock & awe.

What is a woman's poster point of view on this? Think ye are all blokes who replied so far :)

Lets hear it from the frontline of driving from female boardsies :)

Well, a quick poll amongst my friends indicates that a lot of the women who drive aren't virgins, so perhaps there is a link there. Of course, most of the ones who don't drive aren't virgins either.

From this I conclude that letting women drive, and banning women from driving both have serious implications for their virginity. The only logical solution is to just ban women.

We had slaves here in Magdalene Laundries until 1993 or thereabouts.

Now, I'm off to my car to head to the shops and get some food and sex and possibly appear in a porno. brb.

    Their country, their laws.

Segregation in the Deep South was the law too - people who take a stand should be commended for their bravery.

The laundries were shut in '96 - that was the year when abuse revelations really came to the fore too, due to the documentary Dear Daughter.
The actual system was discontinued in '71 but some inmates remained in the institutions for many years after, some until their death. Hard to face the outside world when you're that brutalised I guess... :(

Absolutly right, but the examples you have outlined were changed largely by internal means.
Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King and the people who contributed to the Dear Daughter program as you have already outlined.

Don't pay too much heed to what clerics - of whatever denomination - say. All of them are just out to push their version of the sky fairy mythology and are essentially in the business of fcuking your head, although the degree of their craziness varies.

After all, it's not so long since some of our own were doing their best to discourage people from going to dances ("occasions of sin") or the movies (which a pliant Government bending over backwards - and no doubt sometimes forwards - to them) obligingly censored.

You couldn't even buy Playboy until a couple of decades ago.

I don't know how reliable this Daily Hatemail story is (no names, no specifics), but it is just another example of clerics at the real edge of insanity.;)

You will find them in every religion. I've already mentioned some of our Catholic dingbats, then there are the Orthodox Jews who only shag through a hole in a sheet, but they are fringe phenomena ..

What we reallty need to worry about is the mainstream religion that influences our lives in so many subtle ways.
