China tested its first nuclear weapon in 1964 and a hydrogen bomb about three years later.

It also has the means to drop a hot one on most parts of the USA, which might make even the biggest warmongers in the USA think twice about trying to bully them.;)

China has not actually threatened World War III, but has expressed its concern about the repercussions that might arise from the USA or its satyrs, especially the zionazi terror entity that calls itself Israel, attacking a sovereign nation that is close to China's borders and well within its sphere of interest.:)

Oil certainly plays a part, but it is far from the only consideration. India is likewise opposed to an attack on Iran.

The reality is that America's days as the global policeman and bully are limited and will eventually end. It is time for Washington to recognise the new global reality and begin adjusting to it.:rolleyes:

IMO,China wont be attacking anybody anytime soon.As the country develops its economic strenght with that comes the pressure of looking after its own people who are now looking for better standards of living,houses,wages etc etc,They also have taiwan to think about which is right of there coast and full of :defensive: missiles and is fully backed by the US.India will back the US and has its own border problems with china and have already went to war with them before,As for china and what it is owned by the US don't forget the US is china biggest trading partner and they wont upset that,Over all the big boys will play there games and the small ones will suffer.This is the way the world works and has always done.

Yes Israel are the terrorists for protecting themselves from the numerous countries around them which have publicly stated they want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth...... And how dare Israel invade the Gaza strip when there were thousands of rockets A DAY being fired into Israel from there. Makes me sick that Israel would dare to protect their own country. They're not like us Irish, when people are indiscriminately killing our civilians we just sit back and let it happen like it should be done.

I think you'll find General Leopold Galtieri started that one with his invasion of the Falklands which was designed to unite the population against Britain rather than against his junta.

Obviously China is not going to blow up all its export markets.

They're not necessarily winning hands town, it's a tenuous situation. If the West decides to slap an embargo on Chinese goods then their economy could collapse. They're completely dependent on their rich export market because of a poor home market. China wouldn't have the balls to back Iran if the Yanks decided to step things up. It's not in their interests.

You're absolutely right, the future will be resource wars, but not Oil. Oil is dead, we've passed that, China know oil is pointless endevor and has moved on the LFTR technology, in the next 20 years they're building atleast 20 Thorium reactors.

With huge leaps in Technology and science rare earth elements will be the new oil, and China is in charge there, this is why the next war will start

Very true, not only are the Chinese increasingly in control of the means of production but they are also increasingly in control of the means of payment (sovereign debt bond purchase).

The Chinese are slowly but surely emerging with confident long term strategies after patiently spending long times plotting strategies in the long grass.

We are no-way near the even considering or dreaming oil is pointless. Oil is still the the depleting energy source for now and the next 30 years. Rare Earths are important but if electrical cars or transport is a runner, and it is not it will need a lot more lithium, more lithium then the Earth can supply. Lithium is also relatively rare.

Oil is the energy source for now and the future.

Travelling at light speed? How exactly? China are a good twenty years behind America in terms of technology and their power projection capabilities pale in comparison. Sure a land war in asia would be stupid and make the casualties of the Eastern Front look small. But that would be unnecessary. All China's major cities are beside the coast.
