The ladbrokes safety net bet actually looks pretty good for once.

    Barnsley
    Leeds
    West Ham
    Stoke
    Everton
    QPR

20/1. 5/4 payout if only 1 result is wrong.

Just to add more credence to TiltedBrain's post, Beşiktaş have beaten Antalyaspor in 11 out their last 11 games played. In fact Antalyaspor haven't actually won against Beşiktaş competitively since 1998 (4 draws though).

The only worry would be the good recent home form Antalyaspor are showing, winning 4 out of 5 and getting a point hosting Fenerbahçe although all those wins were against bottom half teams.

I think Beşiktaş at 11/10 is too tempting still.

    Vitesse V NEC, over 2.5 goals @ 4/5

We've all seen the ridiculous scorelines in the Eredivise, this game should be hopefully no different, both teams should be raring to go after the break. the 4/5 looks a absolute savage price for this league. Strength 8/10

    [/QUOTE]

That price is not without a reason.
It is a local derby and there will be more cards than goals probably.
Vitesse will be without their top goals scorer Wilfred Bony (ACN) but might play Jonathan Reis who used to play for PSV till he damaged about everything you can damage in your knee. He was scoring for fun till that injury, now over a year ago.
If you want to get nauseous, look up on youtube how he got injured....

    Saw it before, sickening alright,

I knew there was a reason for the price, didnt know it was a derby, ah well price has been taken now, still has a fair chance of coming in?

Last 4 years it went 2x over 2,5
    So fair chance it will.
With over 2,5 i always look at how much chance there is the away team will score. With that in mind i am worried a bit. Nec doesnt score a lot.

Vitesse over 1,5 is 8/11 slightly worse but would fancy that over the overs

Vitesse is much stronger this season but this is one of those games where it doesnt really matter where the 2 teams are in the league, it will always be a fight.

Do you know what is the story with Darlington, TB? I know they were saved but what about the team it self?

Darlo bet looks good, Fleetwood complained about them trying to loan players and they were prevented from it, they've managed to get in a loan keeper according to :
Embattled Darlington's hopes of strengthening their team for tomorrow's game with Fleetwood were shattered last night.

Quakers had lined up four loan signings from a pair of North-East clubs who were due to train with Darlington today, but the moves have been blocked by officials from the Football Conference.

And The Northern Echo understands that a high-ranking Fleetwood official has become involved in the issue.

It is believed that he contacted Quakers to express concern over the club bringing in players while being under a transfer embargo, before alerting the Conference to make it clear that Fleetwood did not approve of the loans.

Craig Liddle said: "Fleetwood have been on to the Conference, I don't think they're happy that we were allowed to bring loan players in when we've got an embargo."

However, Darlington had previously understood that the Conference allowed clubs in such a perilous position - they have only nine senior players - to bring in loan players to ensure that the competition is not undermined.

Last night a senior Quakers source told The Northern Echo: "At the start of the week we were told we could bring players in who weren't experienced, senior players, then today it was under-19s only and now it's no players at all."

He added that the Conference's stance was that Darlington are not permitted to make any loan signings as they are able to field 11 players because all of their youth team players are registered to play.

However, Quakers have only nine senior pros including Paul Arnison, wanted by Wrexham and nursing a calf strain and Marc Bridge-Wilkinson who is being courted by Lincoln.

Demonstrating how desperate the situation is, Liddle, 40, has registered himself to play - seven years after retiring. He has taken the number four squad number that he wore throughout his time as a player with the club.

The Conference were contacted last night but were unavailable for comment.

Yesterday afternoon Liddle had to call Middlesbrough and Newcastle United to say their players could no longer join Darlington on a temporary basis.

The clubs had answered Quakers' SOS call with a goalkeeper, a defender, a midfielder and a striker all ready to play tomorrow.

Liddle said: "I had four loan players lined up to come in, but then the Conference told us that you can only bring under-19s in.

"The lads I was going to bring in were all second year pros, so aged 19 or 20, but the Conference are saying that they've got to be under-19.

"They think they're doing us a favour, but I'm trying to protect our own kids - I'm not going to damage someone else's.

"We spoke to the Conference to tell them that we were bringing these players in, but then we were told that they couldn't come in and the players are naturally disappointed as well.

"These deals had been worked on for over a week, but it's been killed with one swoop. The Conference will not change their minds, now but the game's been made far more difficult than it should've been."

The Conference's stance means that 17-year-old Jordan Nixon will make his debut in goal tomorrow.

At the beginning of the week Liddle hoped to sign an experienced shot-stopper and had lined up an ex-Darlington team-mate of his.

He then had a goalkeeper on standby from a Premier League club, not in the North-East, but youth team keeper Nixon will now start against Fleetwood.

Being blocked from bringing in loans means that four youngsters are being denied first-team experience, and the managers of both Newcastle and Middlesbrough are keen to help Darlington.

Asked about the possibility of providing loan players to the club, Magpies' manager Alan Pardew said: "Of course we'd try to help them. That doesn't mean we have players who would fit in the team and I can afford to let them go.

"But he [Craig Liddle] only has to pick up the phone to me and I will try to help him."

And Boro boss Tony Mowbray said: "As a club, if we can help them in any way with regard to young players, then that's something we could also try to do."

During a frantic day of discussions at The Northern Echo Arena yesterday, Quakers finally resolved a registration wrangle that at one stage meant they could not field a team tomorrow.

The decision by administrator to make players redundant on Monday caused confusion and yesterday the Football Association and the Professional Footballers' Association were required to find a solution.

Liddle explained: "At about 3pm we didn't have a single player available, not one - including the youth team. When I got that call I felt like giving up.

"We've been dealing with the FA and their rulings which meant that they weren't going to allow anyone to play.

"There's been so many things happening, but I've managed to rectify the problem so I think we've got enough bodies to play now.

"The PFA stepped in to help so the players are now eligible to play. Harvey (Madden, administrator) was speaking to them and he has done great for us so that we can at least put a side out."

But Liddle's reaction was lukewarm when asked about the chances of former Middlesbrough striker Jan Aage Fjortoft turning out.

The Norweigan, who played alongside Liddle at Boro, announced his availability on Twitter this week.

Liddle said: "I appreciate the offer, but he's 45. I played with him at Middlesbrough and he's a great lad, but I think we need someone a little bit younger."

Couple of bets tonight after the news of Donegal Celtic few hours before kick off

    Portadown v Donegal Celtic
    Portadown Ht Portadown Ft 6/5
    Portadown -1 11/8

Donegal Celtic rocked by mass resignations from club

Irish Premiership side Donegal Celtic has been rocked by the resignation of manager Paddy Kelly, a number of coaches and entire football committee.

It is believed that an internal club dispute between the football club and the social club regarding the future of DC has prompted the departures.

First-team coach Sean Hawkins will take charge of the team for Friday night's league game against Portadown.

Kelly had been in his second spell as boss of the Suffolk Road club.

Donegal Celtic defender Declan O'Hara will assist Hawkins in the dugout at Shamrock Park.

A statement released by Brian Burns, the club's media officer, said:

"Due to several circumstances and actions beyond our control the football committee and senior management team have, with deep regret, decided to officially resign from all duties and responsibilities within football at Donegal Celtic Park."

Burns then also resigned from his post.

DC currently lie seventh in the Premiership table.

Kelly succeeded Marty Tabb as manager in September 2010

Bayern Munich down 2-0 and its not even half time, Oh well

  • Registered Users Posts: 735 ✭✭✭Hamadeusentman

Strongly fancy Blackburn Rovers to at least draw against everton tomorrow. As has been mentioned Rovers have scored in every away game this season. 8 of their 17 points have been achieved on the road. They scored 3 and won in Old Trafford and drew in anfield. I know Yak is suspended but I can still see them do quite well against an injury-hit lacklustre Everton.

Double chance of Blackburn and draw is 11/8. Putting it in double with Liverpool at 4/6. Bolton are dire.
    €26 returns €100.

Loads of games for tomorrow! hopefully pay for the weekend.

    Borussia V Bayern, over 2.5 goals @ 7/10 :DWIN

Doesn't need much justifying, teams are only really back from the winter break, shouldnt stop Bayern scoring a few though, hopefully both defenses will have a holiday hangover, Bayern last 16 games, only 2 went under 3 goals. Strength 10/10

Gaizenstespor V Mersin, Gaizenstespor win @ 13/10 :DWIN

already posted earlier, thats a cracking price for the home side, Mersin in terrible form losing their last 4 games, they're just an awful club in general, rotten to the core, the sooner they're thrown out of the super league the better. Strength 8/10

Antalyaspor V Besiktas, Besiktas win @ 6/5 :DWIN

I can't see any other result here than a Besiktas win, as one of few morale teams left in Turkey, they should continue they're good form here and go in to within 4 points of Galatasary at the top of the league, only thing slightly worrying me is they're away from home. great price too. Strength 6/10

    Vitesse V NEC, over 2.5 goals @ 4/5

We've all seen the ridiculous scorelines in the Eredivise, this game should be hopefully no different, both teams should be raring to go after the break. the 4/5 looks a absolute savage price for this league. Strength 8/10

    Sabre V PSG, over 3.5 goals @ 11/10 :DWIN

PSG are so shocking this season I was very tempted to get on Sabre +3 @ 4/7, but I feel theres a bit more value in the over 3.5, Surely Ancelotti will have them attack and kill off the minnows as early as possible to prevent any upset and the crowd reacting, Sabre have a good scoring record all season, but concede just as much, so thats all good news for us. Strength 8/10

Sampdoria V Livorno, Livorno Draw No Bet @ 11/4 VOID - Stake returned

And as always, I try find a game where the bookies may have priced up incorrectly, Sampdoria are on an awful run of form, Livorno are fairing not much better but if they turn up on the day, they could have Sampdoria, Head to head slightly favours Livorno and a that price its gonna be worth a small bet Strength 5/10

ninja edit : sneaky fiver also on the accum @ 120/1

4 winners, and Livorno were unlucky not to win, the draw returns my stake on that single, Final game is on sunday.

    Great stuff!

    F*ck You Mersin

    Poor show by them

you cant expect them to be the 1st up with bookies markets for them. hopefully something in the morning

    Portadown v Donegal Celtic

Both teams to score - YES 4/6

Basically both teams aren't in great form and both teams are struggling to keep clean sheets. It's 7 game's since Portadown's last home clean sheet, 4 since Donegal Celtic's last away clean sheet. Neither team is struggling to score either, this bet has come in 6/6 in Portadowns last 6 home and 4/6 in Donegal's last 6 away. Definately worth a medium stake.

    Fortuna Koln v Bochum II

    Fortuna Koln last 5 home: W W D W D

    Bochum last 5 away: W L L L D

Fortuna Koln (4th) have been impressive at home this year (5-3-1) and they will be looking for a win to try and keep in touch with the top 3. Bochum (15th) have been beaten comprehensively any time they've played teams at the top of the league and have been poor away from home all season (2-1-5) I can't see anything but a Fortuna win tomorrow. The -1 Asian Handicap is just way to big to pass up and a medium stake is worthwhile on this.

    Fortuna Koln (-1 Asian Handicap) (7/4 Bet365)

    Portadown 2 - 1 Donegal Celtic *Wins*

    Fortuna Koln 1 - 4 Bochum II

I didn't think about the German leagues having been on a break for the last month, probably best to stay away until they get back in to full swing, just look at the Bayern result tonight. Small loss today.
