When the Inverto arrives I will remove the multi holder and fit it in the original single mount and give it a go on the frequency suggested.

I did modify the Triax multi so I could fit a holder on the holder bar above the dish arm, see pic, the second pic is not too clear as you cannot see the arm, only white conduit for the cables, which I have since removed. Also, never mind the positions and skew of LNB's as this pics were taken when the holder was fitted before any trials.

As for skew. Well Dishpointer says a skew of -15.3 for Astra and -21.7 for 26, so I gave it a bit more than the best signal I could get for Astra, but di try farious positions.

Just seeing this thread now - better late than never.

Like ur pics, very similiar set-up to mine - even using the plastic tie :)

What sats r ur 4 LNBs pointing at, is it Astra 28, Badr 26, Astra 19 and Hotbird 13?

you need the extra tilt for 13east. did you try with the single lnb trick? getting a different lnb holder is a waste of your money. if you cant get 26east on a single lnb then a different holder wont make a jot of difference. wait for the black ultra and if that does not get it then its either signal interference or dish is not aiming properly.

and apogee here are a few pics with the triax in action and 26east comes in crystal clear, thanks to iba.

    Hi GB

Im only seeing this thread now and saw my pics - Im glad that there helping people and thanks for acknowldeging me.

Im actually picking up tow sats (I thnk) on the LNB on the far left - Im getting Astra 28 and Eurobird - so im getting 5 sats with 4 LNBs (feel free to correct me though if Im wrong).

In terms of actual spacecraft, there are 4 Astra satellites at the 28.2 east position; 2A, 2B, 2D & 1N. Eurobird 1 is at 28.5 degrees east but appears practically co-located on all but very large dishes with narrow beamwidth.

    The other positions (26, 19, 13 east) are also home to a number of separate craft e.g. Hotbird 6, 8 & 9 @13 east.

What in your opinion, is the most sats I can actually pick up with my 4 LNBs bearing in my mind that my LNBs are pointing at 28, 26, 19 and 13?

    Thanks

All of 28.2/28.5E (5 sats.), 19.2E (5 sats.) & 13E (3 sats.) but only Badr 4 from 26E (no 5 or 6 as their beams are too weak here).

Hi iba, good to hear from you again.
Yes those are the 4 sats, but have changed things a bit since then. Not totally happy as I get wind and rain interference, so plan to re-arrange things later on when weather improves.
Had fierce trouble getting 26, in fact got SatWorld to align dish, €65 to align all 4, not bad value.
Having trouble with spacing between 26 and 28, LNB's VERY tight. Plan to re-fit 80cm Sky type dish and use it for 28 only, which will make the other LNB's fit better. Will post photos when done.

    Cheers.

    Hi Tc,
    Hope ur keeping well.
Love to c a pic of ur set-up if possible.
    €65 isnt a bad price I suppose
Just wondering if you drilled a hole to the left of the centre of the bar and then u should be able to have ur 4 LNBs on the one bar/sat?
    Regards

Wouldn't of thought u'd of had a snow balls chance in he'll of pickin 26e up in ireland with the receiver orbit-showtime use!

I could just barely get signal on 1.2m channel master with c120 feedhorn and inverto lnb on a manhattan plaza - no signal on the orbit sagem receiver though...

    Tc,

Have a look at pics that I posted on this thread, although RonnieRayGun and Pete Rhea have suggested I havnt gotr the distances exactly right between the LNBs (but I still manage to pick up the signals). Would love to know what disatnce you drilled the hole from the edge?

    Hi iba,

Don't know distance from end, but imagine it is much the same as yours as I used your info from earlier threads.

I can say though, that my 28 and 26 lnb's are a lot closer to each other than yours, practically overlapping.

I am planning to re-fit my sky dish just for 28 and to re-adjust the others. I will get photos when I can as it is a ladder job.............

I do have problems in wet or windy weather with picture break up, so that is why I plan to re-tune.

    Cheers,

    TC

Are you referring to the hole you bored in the bar to get more offset for 13E?

That has no bearing on your problems with the other positions.

    Hi Pete

Yeah, just wondering how far in other people have it in from the end.

But im not actually having any problems (except blowing up some diseqc switches), I tune in the 4 sats fine and get all the channels (13, 19, 26 & 28).

You mentioned in another thread that you had problems with 28E reception in some weather conditions; that shouldn't happen with a small offset on a 1.1m dish.

Did the new lnb make any difference?

    Pete

    Yeah ur right.

I think i need to drill the hole a little bit further to the edge and that should then move the location of 28 a bit and bring it more in touch with the 26 lnb i.e. as you and Ronnie have been saying about 30 - 40mm approx distance between the two LNBs

7136057783_a465f4f441_m.jpg Had a bit of a play in the back yard earlier . . .

No problems getting 26E, a matter of minutes. TD110 with the lnb & receiver from a Lidl camping kit. Finding a safe permanent location for the dish could be more of a challenge, though . . .

    Hi Peter,

Signal quality looks very good - well done.

May I suggest tha sometime in the future, u upgrade to a HD Combo Box and then u will be able to get the Irish Channels with either an outdoor aerial or just a digital rabbit ears (like the one they had on sale in Lidl just this last Monday)

Yes, did you use the Yemen tp with the 16200 SR?

Interesting use for a set of goalposts btw ...

Yeah, saves any confusion with 28 east.
