Holding steady pace on the bike for 3rd split, seems to have settled into a nice little groove

Sitting in 2nd in her AG about a min off the lead though your one is really hammering the bike after a slow swim as long as DD keeps the head her running background will hopefully make up any gap gained by your one on the bike

Sitting in 4th now 3 min 30 off the leader slowed a little but nothing too major and still seems to be holding steady.

Of the top 4 The leader looks to be be starting to hurt with a significant slow down in the last split compared to the others

Consistently plugging away holding that 4th position looks to be about 17 min down on the leader so will have her work cut out for her but depending on how the legs are off the bike should manage to reel in a good chunk of time on the run.

5.22 bike for the leader - Christ is that what awaits me in my 50's.

Let's hope she is not a runner!

Every age grade is guaranteed 1 slot and then grades with most entrants, eg male 35-39 and 40-44 will get more

Fantastic to see Dory get under 6 hours on the bike - well done dory

    Ecoli you are on :P

1st on swim and 4th on bike in AG.......if she can get her marathon time as close to 3.30 as possible she's gonna be in with a good shout of a podium placing (or better).

Not just that but the splits were solid which bodes well, She was always gonna take to the water like an eel (not Eddie:P) with the focus of the bike being get around in one piece (which she nailed thanks to hard work on her part and her coaching infrastructure - thank christ they stepped in as a bath tub of water or a tricycle would give me nightmares :D)

She has a good solid background on the roads now for the running and should definitely be in amongst the strongest in this discipline

Edit: Just seeing opening run splits from the girls up ahead of her, as long as she came off the bike in ok should be well on course to be up amongst them

Harsh - I trust you are familiar with the "tortoise & the hare" fable?*

*The hare wins 99 times out of 100...:)

Festina lente, DD - you are flying!

Last few miles, pace still steady. Looks like she's paced it perfectly.

    Solidly consistent. No problems there.

My maths are terrible, looks like leader off the bike Tracey has blown up, she's out to 15 minutes mile pace. Looks like it's Tamara for the win at this stage - a few behind her look like they are going slightly better.

    Fighting for a podium

    Less than five miles left!!

    After 21.2mile marker:

Tamara Foltz 10:30 total race time, 11:39 m/h current pace
    Tracey Mack 10:37, 15:36
    Karen Robinson 10:50 11:32
    Jean Norton 10:59 12:21
    Nina Wending 11:00 11:55
    Dory 11:00 12:33

So there are 3 in close proximity for 4th place, but who knows whats gonna happen...
