Moved off ff since latest update, to chrome. It is faster then the rest I have used so far and has no script functionality, adblock plus and greasemonkey/firebug built in.

One thing I love about Chrome is that it can update itself, silently, while you're browsing.

I never even realised that it was up-to-date until I checked it -- 5 months after the first install!

Anyway, for my aged iBook G4, I've found a really good Firefox-based browser:
    TenFourFox.

    G3, G4 & G5 optimized builds, and in FF4 and FF5 flavours.

Also, instead of youTube I'm going to try out MacTubes -- decent enough, runs videos as MP4 in a QT window.

the new Safari (5.1) on Lion seems to be pretty good,
the previous/forward page swiping is a nice touch,,
also seems to be faster, but maybe i'm imagining that!

Eh, did anyone update Chrome recently?

    I'm now getting this:
    Picture+3.png

Window and Bookmarks are over lapped.

    Firefox 5.0.1. + HTTPS Everywhere 1.0.

Also with greasemonkey and plenty of scripts.

I have being using chromium for a while.
Though after updating to Lion, I am using Safari all the time.
Have to say, I love the 'Reader' function.

Right now, I don't have a Mac, but I should be getting mine tomorrow/sunday

I plan on using Google Chrome, or Rockmelt. Neither have ever seemed slow on PC, and don't seem to crash all that often. (They are more a less the same browser tbh)

Ive never even tried Chrome. have both Safari and Firefix installed but Safari is my browser of choice.

Anyway have any thoughts on which browser is the least CPU intensive? I've been comparing Safari and Chrome, and, when it's behaving itself, Safari seems quite a bit lighter on the CPU. Although it's understandable that Chrome would be heavier because of the way it uses separate processes for each tab.

For anything flash related or any type of video really Safari is easily the best.

Chrome, FF and Opera all use double or even triple in some cases.

chrome definitely the best. oh and opera too!

    FF and all its extensions

Chrome but lately it's been driving me mad. The 1Password add on was broken for several weeks and the scroll is far too fast for my liking.

i use to love firefox. Then all its add ons and updates drove me mad. Chrome all the way.

Yeah, Chrome has "rubber band" scrolling now as well.

Ive changed from Safari to Chrome nearly exclusively now. Seems a lot cleaner to use. Plus the built in download manager seems to work a hell of a lot better(and faster) than Safari which is a huge plus for me.

I agree start-up and browsing is seriously fast on safari but now extensions , ad-ons and the likes drive me nuts :/

Safari is best on Mac according to extensive testing by Toms Hardware so that's the one I use.

Firefox as I work on both Mac and Windows and it's easier to remember where everything is. I know Safari in on Windows now, but I can't be arsed to change now.
