What do you do with your arms when you're asleep?

Recently I've found my arms to be a hindrance when I'm trying to go asleep- I just don't know what to do with them. It feels weird to have them by my sides and when I put them under my pillow I get pins and needles.

I've had loads of terrible nights sleeps recently as my arms are just annoying me! Short of removing them, what should I do with them?

What do you do with your arms when you're going asleep?

I sleep on my side/tummy so one goes under the pillow and the other grabs the duvet and goes under me like i'm hugging myself if that makes sense?

One under my head and the other by my side.

I sleep on my front mostly.

Sometimes I will sleep on my front with both arms by my side - no pillow though, head on the mattress.

Yor Ma moves them for me whenever she senses that they are going to sleep. She's the best.

One under the pillow and the other....I dunno, it free-roams, I suppose. It kinda rests near my head, I think.

I kind of sleep kind of on my stomach and kind of on my side, the arm I'm lying on will be behind my back with my other arm in front of me.

Romantic... but once I'm in sleepy mode, I can't sleep anywhere near my partner. He's at one edge of the bed, and I'm at the other. The heartbeat thing freaks me out!

I sleep on them, its becoming problematic, for a while I was getting pains in my arms and I didn't cop on as to what was causing it, a new pillow and sleeping on them was the answer.

Its a very difficult habit to break.

I had a similar sounding thing a few nights a few months ago. It was like the arms and moreso the hands were full of energy or something, hard to explain, just very concious of them.

So I exhausted them by doing exercise, this was pushups & chinups as I have a bar handy. If you think it is similar to what I describe you could try the pushups or just in bed do isometrics, i.e. pushing one hand against the other, or just squeeze the hell out of a tennis ball or a bunched up pair of socks.

When sleeping on my right side I put my left arm behind my head and my right arm behind my back, so that my mouth is in the crook of my left arm and my nose is under my right arm.

When sleeping on my back I have my arms folded behind my back. On my front I have my arms folded across my front and then wrapped under the opposite underarm, finally clamping my hands between my knees to stop them flapping about and keeping me awake.

Having sex is a little more complicated, especially if the victim is myself.

Well I sleep on my side like a normal person, but unlike a normal person I always bend my knees and my left arm resting on my side and the other is on the bed straight going towards my knee.

That really is stranger than the tummy thing isnt it.

woke up with a dog curled up under my right armpit, I think she lifts them about when I'm asleep so she can find the comfy spot.
