She wasn't worth having so, Frank.

You hit a woman? No wonder she was having an affair.

Sounds to me like he was damn lucky, it would be worse if he woke up later and didn't find out what she was really like.

So you actually hit your girlfriend? Big man your are. Any man that raises his hand to his woman is no man in my books. No matter what excuse is used to justify it. Have you hit her before? Because perhaps you gave her a reason to behave the way she did.

There are occasions where giving a woman a 'slap' can be justified, I think he's perfectly entitled to, considering the circumstances.

there are no occasions where it is justified to hit any woman, no matter the age. No man is a real man to think that any time what so ever it is justified to hit a woman. Them 2 posts seriously make me sick. You should be ashamed of yourself.

No, he isn't. She's a despicable piece of shit, yes. But dishing out 'slaps' only lowers yourself to her level. If that doesn't grab you, think logically here. You could be done for assault purely because she's a bike and it won't make you feel any better afterwards. Read the last line of the OP, just in case you're not too sure about that one.

Care to elaborate on that? I can't think of any occassion where that could be justified.

A mother that cheats and a father with that attitude, nice. It seems to me that 2 people need to grow the fuck up.

In this case, she might have been the only one to deserve a slap, seeing as the fella mightn't even have known she had a boyfriend.

Really? None at all? Either you've got literally no imagination or are engaging in ridiculous hyperbole.

Yes of course there are occasions where it is justifiable for a man to hit a woman, when if it comes to self defence it is simply patronising to claim that a man shouldn't hit a woman just because of her gender.

Anyway this wasn't one of those occasions so it was wrong.

If I've learned anything about women, is that - time heals all - and there is always someone else out there that you will inevitably like.

Take some time out, take a holiday abroad for a week or two and collect yourself. She's not worth it if she did that to you.

Well that's not your original position, so that's one "occasions where it is justified to hit any woman, no matter the ag".

Lets try and see if we can think of any more shall we?

Say, not self-defense, but defense of a loved one? That's a little bit trickier I know but I'm sure we can come to a consensus.

In all seriousness, dude, if you have kids, you need to make an appointment with a family law solicitor first thing Tuesday morning. Get some advice. Calm the fcuk down. A few days sober.
Then speak to your kids' ma via a trusted intermediary (her bro or sister, perhaps) explaining that you are sorry for assaulting her and also devastated at her betrayal. Whatever message you get back will give you an idea whether the solicitor is getting more appointments or not.

I hope this thread gets moved to RI, because you need serious replies. Not that I haven't been giving you them, but you're not in a good way, understandably.

You can fire out all the slaps you want, but it's not going to make what happened un-happen, and you could be charged for assault for it.

I had to move back home for a bit too, and I agree - it feels fucked up. While you're insanely angry at her right now, you need to think of the little people here. They've done nothing wrong and don't understand what is happening. I wouldn't be able to take someone back after that, and if you're the same - you're going to have to start thinking logically for the kids sake, and somehow try to set the anger aside, for them, not her.

    BS my friend :)
what if i slept with your partner, laughed in your face and called you every name under the sun while ending it with ... "and what are you going to do about it?" with a big grin.

I reckon you'd change your mind about the whole "hit only in self-defense" and rightfully so. There are things in life that justify/incite a fight.

    Sadly mate,
you shouldnt of posted it in here. All you'll get are piss-takers.
And even if this gets moved to the Personal Issues section.. you'll be met with such horse crap there too.

    - "ah sure maybe you should talk to her and forgive her"
    - "how do you know she had sex? maybe she was just resting in bed with him?" (yes luckyfrank, you will get crap like that! its a joke)
