Bray Bowl also had a full sized HOTD2 cabinet on display too. One of those huge ones where you climb inside and sit down on a bench.

Loved the Jurassic Park game like that. Quirkies used to have one. Noisy as help plus I think it had a sub woofer under the seat. Lots of bass as well.

Good stuff oisin. How did you happen upon that video?

That is a serious haul of cabs. Several Egret 2s in there. Very nice.

I'd have myself fapped into an eejit if I ever got into that warehouse.

Good question. I think he does one at a time or small batches at most. As others have mentioned before it seems like he has owners for many of them in advance.

I suppose if you wanted one in particular it would be worth firing him a mail and getting your name down.

Capcom Q25. They're actually a woody disguised as a candy. A guy stripped one down over on AO and loads of the internals were wood.

At least I think it was a Q25.

Never has that picture of Fry shouting 'take my money!' been so apt. :D

I wonder is there another person interested in it?

    Yeah i think there is,
I seen a fella sniffing around it over on AO!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,773 ✭✭✭Jack burton

Ah well I'm not 100% down for that, open to other cabs aswell. Judging by the video of his new shipment I'd say I'll be picking one up within the next short while.

Is the blast city impressive urban?

    Yeah its a beast,
feel free to drop in and see it if our ever in Naas
Not 100% convinced on the 15k picture tho.I might just need to get used to it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,773 ✭✭✭Jack burton

Well regardless of what cab I get I'll hopefully by putting an Xbox & mame rig inside it. So I'd say trisync is the way to go.

I only have the space for 1 cab so I want to make sure its a goodun!

Any chance you can take a closeup photo of the monitor in 15k? I'd be interested in seeing how it holds up.

I'll try take a photo of Futari on the 360 on mine later and stick it up, or DDP Resurrection

    From the AO wiki

"suffer a slight loss in 15Khz picture quality because of the higher native resolution. This varies between manufacturers but tri-sync’s usually have more pronounced scan-lines and less colour depth than a dual-sync. Only really an issue for the very anal however! " :P

How so? What are you running through it at 15Khz? Its what most older arcade games actually use so unless its the likes of the 360 running at 15Khz looks off?

I think he means the Blast's tri sync being able to put out 15k itself. I've heard of some of those monitors taking a hit with 15k quality as part of supporting multiple resolutions.

The only one I've played was Andrew76's and 15k looked lovely. Maybe it varies between chassis to chassis?
