Break 100 points, lost by .3 points and it gets me relegated. Had NO luck this season.

    Playoff situation as it stands

    In

    Bye Week 7-5

North division won and #4 seed locked in. 1 game clear of Oh Look an Eagle but a week 1 head to head win means they cannot be overtaken, and as they are 2 games back of all other division leaders they cannot improve their seeding)

I'm Oh Look an Eagle. It was disappointing to see that I can't make the playoffs but in fairness I'm just glad to maintain Prem status as I had a shocking start and never managed to get any decent Running Backs on the field.

For me its simple. Win and I take seed 1-3 lose and I have locked up the 4th seed.

    .

That's wrong. Division winners take top 4 seeds regardless. So you having a better record than a division winner doesn't matter if you lose your #5 seed.

delighted to have sewn up a playoffs berth. Hopefully now i can get the final win needed to clinch the bye. Been to the playoffs before but it would be nice to get the bye for once :)

How do tie breakers work? I'm on 4 - 8 and there are 3 teams on 5 - 7. I need to leap frog one of those teams by equalling their record and hopefully beating them on the tie-breaker

Head to head against the team directly above you and then head to head against all the other ranked teams as far as I know. When I get a chance I will check that for you though.

D3PO you have the win this week have a feeling Sanders and Nelson make up the 35 point difference

17 points in it with Sanders going against the Broncos Def...this is gonna be a tight one

17.36 points but whos counting :P yeah going to be tight. With Better than the Lions stareing down the barrel of a defeat and me owning the tie breaker against them and Slinger with a win going a game ahead of them theres a #2 seed and a playoff bye likely for the winner too.

up by 19.16 with half a game to go.

Still not feeling safe. Sanders could break a 50 plus yarder for a score at any moment and then make it tight for me. I would be favorite now though id say

Its over Sanders barely getting a sniff he needs at least a thud and 130 yards at this rate

With 1 game this week to go the playoff picture has become pretty clear

    Seeding

    #1 Porto Jags 10-3
#2 Dublin Blades or Better than the Lions (BTTL need 27.42 tonight from Tannehill and Clay to take 2nd seed)
#3 Dublin Blades or Better than the Lions (see above)
    #4 Bye Week
    #5 Slinger Owls Lomira
    #6 Spawn of Spongey

So next weeks wildcard round will be

Dublin Blades/Better than the Lions V Spawn of Spongey
Bye Week v Slingers Owls Lomira

well everything is confirmed now and I bagged myself a playoff bye :)

    Seeds

    #1 Porto Jags 10-3
#2 Dublin Blades 9-4 (By virtue of beating Better than the Lions in head to head match)
#3 Better than the Lions 9-4
    #4 Bye Week 8-5
#5 Slinger Owls Lomira 9-4 (By virtue of beating Spawn of Spongey in head to head match)
    #6 Spawn of Spongey 9-4

    Wilcard round

Bye Week v Slinger Owls Lomira
Better than the Lions v Spawn of Spongey

Can I be the first to say the rules have to chance. Not sure which ones yet but definitely something has to be done about the top 6 who have clearly cheated all season

you do realize the 6 of us are an NFL officiating crew who make calls based on our fantasy lineups right ?

In a bizzare result the top 6 teams in scoring made the playoffs & they also had the top 6 Win Loss records.

That's very very unusual in fantasy football. Normally a team with a lesser record or lesser points who got lucky with matchups make it.

First time Ive ever seen it happen.

the only twist being the top 2 scoring teams are the #5 & 6 seeds.

Beware the #6 seed, top points scorer and 29-1 all play in the last two weeks. My team is in form and everything is all set to get knocked out in the wild card round

trust my team to go off on one for whats going to be probably my top points score of the season when im on a bye week :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,879 ✭✭✭D3PO

Playoff semi finals look wrong to me.

#1 seed should play the lowest seed left yet it has

    #1 v #5
    #2 v #6

Looks like NFL isn't dynamic and just brackets 1 and 4 seed in same half of draw and 2 & 3 in the other half and doesn't matter who wins.

That doesn't seem right and isn't how NFL works. Not sure if this can be manually changed but id like this added to the votes were doing tbh.

Otherwise seeding outside of the bye doesn't really mean anything.

Knocked out today but happy with my season had a strong start then a bad patch then a strong enough finish. Congrats to Porto Jags for beating me Good luck in the Final

im on my way out too.

wasn't going to win with the score Spongey is putting up anyway but was mired with bad luck in the last few days which didn't help either. 2 of my WRs leave their games injured (Hilton & Allen) and one of my starting RBs goes IA with an ankle injury too Matthews.

Pretty hard for anybody to overcome that against playoff teams.

I was wondering why Hilton was stuck on 5pts forever. Was watching redzone and didnt even realise Hilton was out. Everytime they went over to the Colts game i was thinking "Dont pass it to Hilton". I needed to put up the points early as you only had Hilton in the early games. Glad to get through, looks like im in 3 Boards finals

best of luck in the final. Hilton left with a hamstring injury understand he came back in but was ineffective before being pulled again.

that's FF for ya sometimes you get the breaks others you don't. Id most likely probably have still lost anyway.

Hard to argue against the final pairing team with best record v team with the highest scoring team cumulatively. Cant say fairer than that.

On a side note Im now 0-3 against you in the playoffs of boards leagues now. Its getting old

Thanks coach. Returning to the final for the first time since 2010 where I lost, so lets hope this season can be my lucky year. Amazed to have made it this far considering at the start of the season i was starting 2 shaky looking rookie receivers (Mike Evans and Brandin Cooks) and Michael Floyd. All came good in the end :)

Congrats tonight Spongey, deserved winner from the final matchup. Would've preferred if Andrew Luck had've actually wanted to play football tonight and given me a fighting chance in our matchup. But still the better team won. I'll jsut have to win the final next year.... #beatenbutnotbroken :)
