Id have thought 'avoiding hypothermia and sunburn' to be at the start of that response but implied I guess.

Bet you'll do better than that. I was thinking of coming out to support yee and see what sort of suffering I'm getting myself in for but a recheck showed that would give me a 130k bike in total. Nice one BTH, although all going to form I reckon you will have about 10 mins on me.
Would be delighted with 5:00 although as you say times could be thrown way out on the bike depending on the conditions.
Just looking at the route for the run there is a little out and back loop of about 1.5k each way from k1 to k4. If I see you on that loop I will set the target and hopefully have you looking over your shoulder for the rest of the half marathon
Bring on the race - I'm not a good taperer

Taper is a mugs game. 50k bike session this eve with the club. Looking forward to getting going now.0 -
Also heading up to this, i will be easy to spot, just look for the last out of the water,
I wouldnt like to trouble anyone by getting in there way.
This will be my first one and am bricking it and the talk of freezing water hard bike course is not helping, so from now on the talk better be pan flat bike and warm water:D.

I drummed up 4:50 based on last years results but actually revised to 4:40 before the race. Hence fail

Swim training was going well and I thought 50 was doable. Delighted with 47
Bike 2:15

I figured 2:15 would have been a steady effort and turned out pretty close. Pretty lonely up to 50k so could have been better
Run 1:30
Actual 1:39
Disaster. The target should have been doable comfortably. I actually ran 1:33 and spent 6 mins stopped massaging cramps :mad: Lots of lessons from it
Good event but didn't like the course, won't be returning.0 -
