Definitely not a hyena... the skull is too slender and the teeth too small...

I wanted to say Tasmanian Devil but it doesn´t seem robust enough...

I googled the pic and it came up as an extinct species! :(

Might be an idea to stick the pictures up on imgur and then link to them, that way no-one can cheat by just quoting the original post or googling the image.

Ah right, the powerful bite remark made me think hyena.

Must be a mix up here, the Thylacine is extinct at least 100 years.

    Is it a possum?

I think Steddyeddy has posted a Tazmanian wolf/tiger skull when he aimed to post a Tazmanian Devil. Sorry if my assumption is incorrect.

Starting to suspect same. Which would mean I was correct and would be my turn :D

    Waiting for confirmation, though

Would it be too awkward to post a rough scale for these carnivore posts?
The less 'specialized' skulls can look almost identical.
Good call on the thylacine BTW. Would never have guessed that!

EDIT: Was going to suggest a hint instead but I see steadyeddy already put one in. I can see how this got muddled! :D
