When are you getting a GoPro HD Ian?

Steady rain from the south at the moment here in West Limerick. Very light occassional breeze and still reasonably warm. Well I'm still in a tee shirt but that's pretty normal for me at the best of times

    Yep! , hopefully better! :)

AH i might be getting one for my birthday at the end of the month but ill see, there quite expensive for the outdoor set.
But ye , id love to get one , winter timelapses galore! :D ha

Packing my bag nows... water proofs : Check! Camera: check! , Nature valley bars : CHECK! :D

    Bring it onnnnnn! :)

That would be really something wouldn't it!

While its something I'd definately wish for, the experts don't seem to think it will intensify. Mind you, there's alomst 12 hours yet to the predicted peak.

Any chance the storm could do something unpredictable like move closer to Ireland and intensify?

There are still changes happening with intensity/speed/track on the models.

I think it it were to track closer to Ireland it would probably be weaker as stronger storms want to turn more left/north.

Ive seen many satellite photos of the storm approaching Ireland but to be honest I don't know which part is the remains of Katia. Could someone point out to us exactly where the storm is?

Just back from walk. Wind has dropped since this afternoon. However, to the west and the Atlantic the sky looks ominous.

the atlantic drive is some spot for weather.

Ian you ever take the road right down to the abandoned quarry on the Atlantic drive and get some shot down.

i grew up around there and would love to get down there tomorrow.
