    Some truly frightening posts..

Having passed my test in the north its frightens me that people in the republic can Fail a test of their basic driving ability then be allowed to drive home.

How is the law in the north different ?

i imagine the law itself isn't any (or much) different, the difference would be in how much it is ignored in the south. there's still a shocking number of people driving unaccompanied with L plates on and i'm sure there's still plenty that drive to their tests solo and then fail and drive home on their own.
