If you look at the original photos of the knife you will see that it comes with a lanyard (leather in this case). The lanyard is fitted to the knife through a metal Lanyard tube (Stainless in the case of the original knife). I always try to match the fittings and the tube. Brass fittings / Brass tube. Alluminium fittings / Alluminium tube etc.
