He was clearly joking given the poster who mistook a RS4 TDI for the real thing

Never said it was real rs4. The Diesel engine gave it away.

Here's some pictures from my road trip around Germany.
Started in Frankfurt by renting a Jag F-Type then went to the Germany Grand Prix at Hockenheim, stayed at the Motorworld V8 hotel, visited the Porsche and Merc museums in Stuttgart, then drove some laps of the Nuburgring in a Toyota GT86.

It was hilarious fun driving the F Type on the Autobahn and also just seeing the reaction from people when they saw or heard the exhaust. It's a pretty rare car in Germany and it got so much attention.

Also got to see so much rare stuff, like a 1960s Gulf Le Man GT40 and my first Porsche 918 in the flesh. The guy let me hop in to take some pics and also allowed me to video him driving it and revving it. So loud when the petrol engine kicks in and whisper quiet on the electric motor.

Too many pictures and cars to put up here so just linking to a Dropbox album.

And the fact that he planned it before buying the car. He must have looked like a total prat asking the dealer for the 65 plate on a 2L petrol.....

Got passed on the M1 this morning by an SL63 AMG. No pics as was driving, but looked like a proper one, and as it was on UK plates, chances are it's the real deal.

Never mind the cost of the eBay badges, he paid €300 for the reg number :p
