    Funnily enough, I've done abseiling etc without a bother; a parachute jump strikes me as a wee bit scary, but more "adrenalin rush, yay!" scary than "sh*t my pants" scary ... yet I'm three steps up a ladder and my knees start to knock!

    I reckon it's down to the fact that my father always had ladders knocking around at home tied together with bits of string, and they collapsed under me several times as a child. I think subconsciously I trust mountains, even the open sky, more than I do ladders!! >.<

    Aha! Everybody asks me about those - it's only actual bananas that bother me - and usually only if they're opened, because I can't really smell them if they're unpeeled! Actually, I was in a nightclub the week before last and there were two guys going around dressed up (bizzarely) as bananas, and my friends insisted on getting me to stand beside them! :o

    I'm with you there, the smell is absolutely rank. I don't understand how people can stomach being close enough to an unpeeled banana to eat it.
