You should probably wait until after it comes out on XBL anyway. Just in case your theory is correct ;)

€18 to ship a CD though is ridiculous. Yer man should be wearing a balaclava.

I was just prodding the waters with my toe anyway, just to see what the story was. Stupid postage rates though mean a lot of the USA is shut off really no?
a bit smaller but I had a Gb cart sent from ny for about 5 dollars . Can't get the exact details ( stupid mobile eBay) but it was cheap enough

Don't forget that there are different types of shipping. Something that only costs a few dollars to ship more than likely isn't registered. If it's lost it's completely unaccountable for.

$25 on the other hand means it needs to be signed for and is even quite possibly insured.

If I were posting Radiant Silvergun to someone across the Atlantic ocean I certainly wouldn't be sending it via $5 shipping. That would be stupid beyond belief.

Pyongyang - you've been spoiled by cheap ass Japanese shipping. Grand for sub €40 or so items. But just wait until something expensive goes missing :P

Portal2 has been neglected and just started playing ZeldaOoT3d again, forgot how annoying the inside of that bloody big fish was\is, big pink levels are never fun, lesson not learned in this nor in Halo 3 oddly enough...

I just finished Portal 2 on Tuesday evening. It's a fantastic game; characters, story, pacing and gameplay are all near perfect. Dare I say it... your time would be better spent on Portal 2 instead of inside Jabu-Jabu's belly :)

btw i agree with your Halo 3 comment.

I agree, I think that postage is actually fine for registered/insured/tracked.

I mean it's Radiant Silverbum, it aint cheap and I would expect it to be packaged quite well if I was buying it. So the box will/should be a fair bit bigger than the case/spine etc.

Pyongyang, you really have been spoiled by Jap postage rates, as have I :D

    Yeah, think you're right.
Only thing is when I am at the TV so is the lady boss woman of the house, so it's true stories of stomach surgery gone horrible wrong or, like last night, 3 year olds dressed up like a Pedo's dream in some pagent, very disturbing but no room for games.

I have a feeling the games room is going to have to get an LCD up there in the next year, nothing epic as it wouldn't fit, perhaps one of these proposed 32" Sony 3D televisions, we'll have to see, at least then I could move my 360 upstairs and get some gaming done!

It will be (I hope) come September 14th! :D

True though, the .jp postage rates are actually rather delicious compared to other places.

I know, I don't know how they do it to be honest.

I mean you can order something on a Monday and pay 4 or 5 euro postage and it arrives on Friday in a perfectly packed and secure box.

Whenever I'm in Japland I always post my stuff back and its really cheap and quick. Some of the larger items get sent by container ship and even that's cheap and faster than you might think.

Unless of course you're having a one of those refurbished PC Engine duos shipped :pac:

I've had airsoft guns shipped from Japan. Not cheap. Think my FN FAL cost something like €70 to send. And then there was the god damn import duty :(

I'd pay eleventytrillion dollars for a Doujindance console to ship to me. The man is a beautiful human being. A sultan of gaming goodness. A proddy-nippley-wonderful man that deserves money being handed to him for no reason whatsoever.

The man. Quite frankly. Is God.

This may be the greatest arcade game EVER:

And Jubeat, which requires either inhuman responses or rote learning i.e. pretty par for the course in Japanese arcades:

Wow, you'll never guess what retro game of renown I found on the IkeaCab this morning, by chance as I was rooting through the un filtered Rom list.
Boulder Dash, some cassette based version from the arcades, could have kept Sparks occupied for hours at the last beers!
Will have to remember for next time!

It's very difficult to feck this mod up beyond repair, the eeprom reader tool is always there. It can be head meltingly annoying at times though...trust me I know. I'd an Xbox between myself & Docentore just couldn't sort out...even with a bios flasher. But thats rare, patience is your friend!

Even taking the old dash off and not getting the clean one installed can be recovered?

Start with error 16 move on to error 12 and now i cant even get anything out of it

Think im going to start with a clean slate an unmodded xbox

A fresh start and a new exciting way to cock it up :D

Once you have an eeprom backup, you can fully restore the console ;) Its a good while since I did it now, but I'm quite sure your console is recoverable.

Cheers for all the help m8

Had a bit of a giggle last night though

When Explorer360 froze i had to use task manager to shut it down and i got the usual "Please tell Microsoft about this Problem" error message

Wonder what would have happened if i sent off the error report:D

I'm not sure you deserve another Xbox, these things don't grow on trees!
I had to order the controller so's they'd match and everything.
At least you have a spare Video cable, can't find mine!

Well NOW you may be in trouble, if components are fried then no amount of eeprom backing up can help you. If the IDE cable is properly connected, you may have just killed the hdd.
    7 - kernel - HDD timeout

Most of the times, the IDE cable is not properly connected when you see this error. Please reattach the ide cable. Not only to the harddisk drive but also to the dvd drive. ALso try to reconnect the ide cable to the motherboard.

Press pretty hard so it goes all the way in. Make sure it is seated straight and proper in the drives and the motherboard. If you still have an error 7. Try another ide cable. If that won't work try another harddisk. If there is still no go, try to set the jumpers on the rearside of the harddisk drive. Set it to master or cable select. If still no succes, good luck and sell your xbox to me
