Resi Evil: Rev plays nicely with the Circle Pad Pro or, as I like to call it, the black plastic declaration of Nintendo's inability to make a portable system properly the first time!
Must say, Circle Pad Pro is probably more catchy than my name for it...

But it does make the game flow more like Dead Space of all things, so the imitator becomes the imitated.

It does look and feel a lot bigger than the photos show and it bulks out the console quite a bit.
Nothing else works with it as the functionality is in the software, so you can't use it in the menus or fiddle with other games.
This I see changing as soon as the redesign is out, with the provision of some new firmware, has to be the way it's going to go down, I'm sure of it.

Looking forward to Kid Icarus and MGS3DS and see how they get on, also I hope we see some patches for older games that can add the function to them.

€20 is a bit much though, even if they do throw in the battery!

    Just a thought,
but don't the people on the cover of Dance Central..

look like they are unlikely to look anything like the people who actually play the game..

It's more a representation of how you think you look with 15 pints on you while playing Dance Central.

Who knew the Starfox team were so dedicated to barrel rolling:

my moves only increase women pulling powers with the magical elixir known as alcohol.

It's a delicate balancing act. I usually err on the side of 'drinking oneself out of contention'.

Cutting your legs off like Fox McCloud will probably increase the effectiveness of the booze as well.

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 34,811 CMod ✭✭✭✭CiDeRmAn

Well you'll have a lot less blood volume to dilute that lovely alcohol if nothing else.
We'll have to do experiments on mutilated foxes.
If they aren't mutilated upon capture we'll have to do it ourselves!
Then, feed them vodka and gin and blue Wkd and see what happens when we expose them to Dance Central!

Or has someone in MIT already done this one?

I'm not home long from work. I may require a nap first and then I'll get to it.

The podcast is just me talking about how over rated Hudson shooters are, that the PC Engine CD add on has no good games on it and that Bomberman isn't as good in multiplayer as goldeneye.

I put this in the main game forum and thought it might be of interest here as well. It's about software piracy as a historical archive tool:

    this
as someone who collects (albeit not that much) stuff that's on tape/floppy I quite often find myself keeping the original media for show but using a cracked tape/disk image to actually play (via sio2pc, Amiga cf card , rerecording wavs to tape, or reformatting and unpacking to disk and so on..)

I posted this up in the repairs thread but might be interesting to other people. It's my tutorial on replacing the Philips CDI 450 laser.

So, not the right thread but, when is the next Beers?
This throat is starting to get kinda dry!
Someone said something about a southside venue...

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 54,090 CMod ✭✭✭✭Retr0gamer

Be warned. I'm bringing the CDI to the next one, where ever it is.

Ah, you missed my 40th, I had cider there, drank some of it and we played retrogames....
Otherwise I have to drive from the various venues and the Guards take a dim view of intoxicated drivers regardless of their desire to allow a DUI to be true to his/her online name.

I mean, I said it before, wait until Enternow goes to prison!
I reckon he'll wish he'd picked an online username like "leave me alone" or "enter someone else"...

I'd love to drink at these beers but either I have to drive or I'm too busy looking after you lot in my own house (or parents house as they keep reminding me :P). Then I got myself a girlfriend how doesn't drink, score! Except she can't drive. She's getting driving lessons for Valentines day :P
