Surely not your own personal Megaman/Rockman collection?
I thought you were obsessed mainly with frog and other assorted green things, oh and Retr0...

It's crazy seeing how many megaman games there are.

On another note, my CDI has managed to resurrect itself. I really don't understand this machine

Played a little bit of Zelda Faces of Evil. Secret best Zelda ever!

On a more realistic note the timekeeper chip in the CDI is dead so looks like I'm either beating games in one sitting or doing that rotten mod.

Ugh, think it's going to take four weeks for me to warm up after two days of outdoor shoots (note to anyone: never film outside in February). Going to cold, cold Germany next week isn't going to help.

Hopefully the last few hours of Skyward Sword will ease the frostbite :)

Is this the outdoor male porn shoot you mentioned before? Are you regretting it now? :D

Mmmonkey has some new Gameboy guides up, check this screen invertor mod

The backlight mod is a thing of beauty, it's been inverted like the above, & then inverted again with polarising film. He reckons its dead easy

Got my RE: Revelations with Gamer Pad Pro thingy today.

Yep. It's even bigger than you'd expect and I sure hope you don't like having easy access to the stylus.

    Works pretty damn great though.

Xbox 360 patches are about 2MB.

    PS3 patches are about 2GB.

3DS patches are around 150 grams.

Oh God, I havn't posted on Boards for weeks  been too busy with school/studying ;) and the fact my laptop finally decided to completely fall apart. I must say the emulators on the Xperia Play are the best way to experiance snes and n64 on the go! But does anybody here have one and know how to set up the sensor pads with the n64 emu as the thumb stick?

I have a double-inverted (biverted) backlit gameboy and GB pocket. Didn't do them myself though. The difference to the original gameboy's screen is amazing. The one above is a white backlight, which I'd been told isn't the best for moving images. Went with yellow/orange for the DMG instead:

I wonder if the same method can be used on a Swan or NGP?

Not exactly. Their screens are more like that of the GB Colour, which has to be front-lit rather than back-lit. This has been done however, and I've seen examples of front-lit NGPs.
Not sure about the wonderswan, my only concern would be that it's very slim and space for the required components might not be available.
The downside of the front-lighting method is that a lot of GBA SPs are cannabilised for their front-lights.

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 53,774 CMod ✭✭✭✭Retr0gamer

The NGP frontlight mod looks horrible to do. You have to cannabalise a GBA SP and if you touch the wrong thing by accident you'll end up with a duff NGP screen.

I believeSwan can only be front lit using the same components as the GBA-SP, if the Swan had a lit display it would be totally awesome

I definitely need to be getting more sleep.
I zapped myself and my cab last night as I mentioned in the arcade 24/7 thread and just now went to check to see how some 4K footage was getting on after I setup a very long render last night.

Looks like I forgot to turn on any sort of compression and my 5 min clip maxed out a 3Tb drive and gave up an error that it ran out of space, FFS!!!

    Tonight, more sleep :o
