It works fine, but as you say no ITV HD if I have Channel 5. Why does my London card import BBC 1 London and ITV1 London and has no problem with the midlands CH 5, but will not import ITV1Hd if I have used the Midlands card, even though I have ITV1 Hd London if my other channels ?

Both your Midlands and my Anglia use the Sky encrypted version of ITV 1 HD at ch#178. As such the FTA versions added in 'Other Channels' are ignored using another card afterwards - such as the London one.

It's also vice-versa for the London card and CH5 if used 1st. It uses an encrypted Ch5 version so putting in the Midlands card afterwards doesn't give you Ch5 FTA as it's looking for the encrypted version to place at ch#105.

I bet if you did add the encrypted ITV 1 HD/Ch 5 versions in other channels you'd see them appear as 178 and 105 but you'd not be able to view them.

I have a midlands card and my encrypted ITV1 HD works fine on my ROI card. I think its only Anglia/Meridian region thats a problem as its on the BBC tp that cant be tuned because of the symbol rate/FEC.

I see over on Digital Spy HD forum that software updates are been rolled out soon for Samsung and Pace HD boxes, I wonder will these updates put an end to putting the UK channels on our EPG.

Thats interesting. I cant get my skyhdbox to turn on. I had it powered of since last night at about midnight. Dont want to unplug it because I dont want to lose Itv1 HD and BBC1HD. Anyone else having similar problems.

So the only way round this, is a Ftv card from a region, that has both ITV1HD and Channel 5 fta. Does any such region exist ?

thanks a million for this folks, just a quick question, i have most of the channels but of course the more you have the more you want, i have the westcountry old card the only chnlls im missing is their itv1+1 and itv4+1
is there a way to put these on the epg?. once again thanks for this

ITV4 +1 no longer has a Sky EPG slot, only a freesat one so you cant get this on the guide. As for your ITV1+1 have you tried adding ITV1+1 Wales on 11973V? This region is encrypted but it doesn't matter.

When my Midlands card loads it's own epg, it shows up BBC1 West Midlands and ITV1 Central West ? yet I can't get it to load both ITV HD and Channel 5. Maybe I've the wrong frequency for ITV HD, can anyone tell me the frequency for ITV1 HD Central West ?

10936V It's the 2nd (encrypted) one of the 2 on this frequency.

There are +1's on 10891H, 10906V, 11973V & 12402V. Try tuning them all, 1 of em should work.

I'm confused. 200 Hotels says West Midlands ITV1 Hd and Channel 5 are fta and you say West Midlands ITV HD is encrypted. Who's correct ?

You're probably right about that. I think I added all the ITV 1 HD channels I could and it didn't work, leaving only ITV1 HD on the BBC HD TP with the SR 23000, which we can't add in other channels.

It's encrypted, but the correct entitlements are on all ROI cards so it should still work. Why dont you just tune it in and then pull out your card to see for yourself, you'll see who's correct then.

Hats off to you. You're spot on. I now have ITV1 HD and Channel 5 on the ROI epg. Thanks.

Thanks a lot Guys. Tried this trick a few minutes ago, and so far so good. I have UTV, C5, all ITV channels, and BBC 1 HD on the EPG . Btw I used a blue FTV card from Northern Ireland region.

As this 'Channel 5' thread is already active, I'll just post this in here!

just got a card from Sky today regarding changes Channel 5 are making from the 5th October. They didn't detail what these 'changes' are, but all preset recordings and series linked programs will need to be deleted and reset on or after that date. Recordings made before 5th Oct are not affected.

A seperate advertising region of C5 for NI launches then. It's encrypted too so any1 using a NI card to get C5 on the ROI EPG will be out of luck come Wednesday.

They really are going all out to try and prevent anyone south of the border from seeing this channel aren't they. If you didn't know better, you'd think there was something worth watching on it. But of course we know there isn't. Take your channel and shove it lads.

For those still finding it difficult to get hold of the correct region of card I have a few listed here:
    http://www.adverts.ie/satellite/blue-sky-card-for-adding-channel-5-etc-to-hd-box/971554

And remember one card can be shared between you and all of your friends :D

    Will that card work?

Yes, I'm using it at the moment on my own sky box. I have sold 3 already with no complaints.

don't think so as clocks were ok - but did the card trick again and all channels back - just wish I could get those HD channels (bbc1, itv1, c4) but can't add them to the other channels at this point :(, still I can always just switch cards to get them
