Clearly, the op is is referring to everything, which is the universe.

The universe is something, which therefore can't have come from nothing.

In order to create it, there must be a first cause (the "You" they are reminded of when they observe the all kinds of everything).

Clearly, because we have no definitive answer to that question, GOD DID IT.

Shame on you for sneaking in the Kalam Cosmological argument. Shame!

Is this about Dana for President?

Because that would make baby atheists cry.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,182 ✭✭✭Genghiz Cohen

So if babies can't hold a belief.. does that mean the baby Jesus was atheist?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 31,967 ✭✭✭✭Sarky

Oh but jesus was a special baby. He's like one of those Brazilian super-babies that pop out of the womb with political manifestos and a college degree.

I posted this in the wee small hours thinking it would be a place for comments by all if and when Dana announces a presidential bid. If you feel it is better placed in the after hours section by all means move the thread.

ps CiaranMT was correct in his assumption.

If I remember correctly, Dana is a super-conservative Christian bigot. I can't recall why I think that though?

And at least according to her wiki - contraception and divorce.

Just the type of progressive figurehead we need representing us on the world stage.

Very old. A testament to how long Dana's been madder than a bag of weasels.

    From Wiki:
"She campaigned on family values and her opposition to abortion, contraception and divorce"
Sounds like a right barrel of laughs. Hopefully one of her ex boyfriend's was an axe murderer or something so we can be rid of her presidential campaign

Looks like Gay Mitchell might also be in trouble over writing clemency letters:

In many ways I can understand his motives. Those Americans are far too fond of executing people.

Reckon they would have got her on that last time out if it were the case, Just like they got Norris this time. Agreed that we dont need her.

Like the Israelis, in comparison to the Irish as Norris points out, are more likely to jail somebody when a non-custodial sentence would be more normal?

I think you know it is highly unlikely that I have ever heard of the Kalam Cosmological argument.... only googled it this minute...and I'm sure you read post 11.... really I thought the op would be a bit of a gas...nothing deeper or sinister than that.

Dont even start me on Israeli behaviour.... ! given relatively recent atrocities suffered by the Jewish people I fail to understand how they now behave in the dispicable fashion they do.

In the case of Norris and his little friend a custodial sentance was appropriate!

No idea. Hill was the fundamentalist christian who drove up to an abortion clinic, pulled a gun and shot and wounded a doctor's wife, and murdered the doctor and his bodyguard.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Jennings_Hill

Haven't heard Mitchell say why he wrote a letter specifically about Hill, but Mitchell's contact details are here:

I've already nominated my hamster caramel in the AH dana thread

He'll do exactly the same job as anyone else but will only charge a bag of hamster food a month instead of €300,000 a year.

here he is kicking off his campaign
    1A7607704E7546C78E7BE3FD9654E8FE-0000334738-0002375143-00640L-D8D4E775170D43BFA5B88AC34662B294.jpg

    His political experience involves:
    • Rolling around in his own excrement untill someone else (me) has to clean it up for him at my expense.
    • He is a verteran on the lesser known 2010 easter rising when he occupied the contents of an easter egg for 10 minutes which was almost as funny as the 1916 one.
    • he knows your father well.
    • Can do some sh1t or other with the spirit of the Irish people or some bollóx
Vote for Caramel. Go on, don't be a prick about it!

I'm highly suspicious of the gaybo thing, this started out with 46% of texts into a radio show poll voting for him independent of any on air prompt, as soon as I heard that the first thing I thought was "4chan do this constantly...", it was either a prank or a political move, 46% of any sample regardless of bias don't just randomly pluck the same name out of thin air completely independent of one another.
