Do people actually go to bars they don't know to drink by themselves?

I think it depends on the type of pub you go to. If you went somewhere trendy or somewhere that is known to be a pick up joint, then going on your own might be a bit odd.

But if you go to somewhere like Grogans on st Williams st, it is the the kind of place that is made for going to on you own, I use to do that and you always get talking to someone.

I have never had a problem doing things on my own cinema, coffee shop, shopping, pretty much most things except for going to a restaurant by myself.

I used to work abroad a bit and would often go in for a couple of pints with a book and just relax and yes you do meet other guys and girls in the same situation unfortunately it rarely leads to wild shex :)

Took a trip to a random boozer today to watch a horse race. The horse won and i ended up spending the day there drinking at the bar betting on the horses :D

I went up to the pub on my own on Sunday to watch the end of the darts, I'm in a relatively new area in the boglands.

I felt like a prick after a half pint and decided cans on my own at home would be less embarrassing. next time I'm fking going to knockanstockan.

Love a lone meal and a few quiet beers now.. Or just land at a drinking spot by myself. Had half an hour to kill the other evening, took about 5 seconds between sitting down and sparking up a conversation with 2 american girls. It's just more interesting sometimes.
