    Why are so many of ye egar for him to come back he's 32 as far as I no?
    He hasn't played champship football in what 4yrs the game has moved on so much sine he last played for mayo.
    People are saying he's flying in club and training and we all know their is a big difference.
    His fitness,condition will be well below what it should be to make any county team and at the end of the day he's to small and to light.
    Now don't get me wrong he WAS a very good player one of the best we ever had but it was his choice not to play for mayo.
    What will happen if he does nt make the team under Connolly/homes will he walk again ?

    Dunno why anyone would say that. His club got knocked out in the early rounds of the Dublin club championship, so he hasn't exactly been playing against top grade teams of late. Parnells are also in a relegation battle to retain their Div 1 status. He may very well be doing well in league games (I have no idea,) but league games are of very little importance in Dublin. Inter county players wouldn't feature in them, as often as they do in champo games. Even if he is playing well in Parnells league games, he wouldn't be playing against many other lads of inter county standard, so it would be hard to judge just how well he is going over all.

    That being said, if his ego could stand being reduced to the role of a sub (which I doubt,) he could be a handy person to have coming off the bench, with 15 minutes to go, in a close game. But the ensuing media circus probably wouldn't be worth it.

    If Mortimer is brought back in I'll take it as read that Mayo aren't serious All-Ireland contenders in 2015.

    Very true and this says a lot more about the management if they let this happen. Whatever people say about Horan and his mistakes, he did make us a very competitive outfit. C&H need to continue this and get someone that makes a serious improvement in the forward line with the right attitude.

    The new Mayo jersey was announced this evening in McHale park this evening. Doesn't look much like the jerseys announced earlier this month?

    New Cáirde season ticket also announced, Croke park have taken them over.

    Yeah, we like it too! More importantly though is the new "Player welfare programme" and Dr Sean Moffatt and Liam Moffatt involved. also delighted to hear Elverys extending their sponsorship deal until at least 2020.

    Tough assignment next v Corofin

    They played very well,won the midfield battle.Alan Dillon once again orchestrated things extremely well.They have some excellent forwards with a real eye for goals as already ably illustrated in the Knockmore,Mitchel's games in addition...and we all know goals win games.Cillian o Connor had a quiet game but took his goal very well and his free at the end was a beauty.They are more than capable of putting it up to Corofin in a fortnight's time with home advantage in Castlebar.

    All credit to St. Brigid's,a great team..quite possibly should have won more than one All Ireland but I'm wondering if they are a team in a decline of sorts?Frankie Dolan scored 2 super points from play,one of sublime skill with the outside of his right boot,Karol Mannion,Senan Kildride and of Shane "Cake" Curran great servants to the Roscommon cause.

    I saw new county joint managers in the vicinity pre match,no doubt hoping to unearth some new talent...young Alan Plunkett is certainly worth keeping an eye on.

    Great game in McHale park yesterday for the time of the year, Gibbons and Broderick were excellent in midfield. Buying tickets before the game was a shambles though, very long queues and no season tickets allowed, hopefully this will be rectified for the Connacht final.

    Sorry if already discussed.

    I purchased a Cairde Mayo season ticket yesterday. My friend who I travel to most games with is also going to purchase the ticket. My question is in regards to tickets to Croke Park games. If we are both guaranteed a ticket, is the option there when you are purchasing tickets to enter two season ticket numbers so that you can get tickets next to each other?

    I'm sure this is a common issue, any help is greatly appreciated. Hon Mayo.

    When collecting your tickets, hand in the two cards together and you'll get seats beside each other no problem.

    Great thanks, I'm unaware of how it works. So I order my tickets online and then can collect them from McHale Park? And as long as I bring the two together then i'll be able to get those beside each other?

    Thanks for your help.

    No you don't order them online. Before a game you'll get a text message giving you the time and date for collection at McHale Park. Your ticket will be reserved for you every time.

    Yeah if you bring the two cards together you'll be able to get tickets beside each other.

    The Cáirde tickets have changed this year, full details here;

    http://mayoclub51.com/mayo-gaa-season-tickets/cairde-mhaigheo-season-ticket/

    They are now similar as the Croke Park season ticket, as in you won't have to collect your tickets from Castlebar anymore. They will be in your online account same as Croke Park tickets have been since 2009. You should also be able to set up seating groups same as the Croke Park season ticket, where up to 10 can be seated together, again same as Croke park ticket since 2009. How to set up seating groups here;

    http://mayoclub51.com/members/club-51-seating-groups/

    Croke park seems to have taken over the Cáirde Mhaigheo tickets this year. Hopefully there will be no more problems with scanners in Castlebar like there was earlier this year!

    So we are going to have attendance clocked this year :pac:

    At least we get this:
    Cáirde Mhaigheo umbrella and beanie hat – for all Cairde Mhaigheo season ticket holders, existing and new.

    Yes
    Thought it was a great read to be honest. Good insight into the demands of being an intercounty player. Something that is often forgotten by us when we give out :cool:
