    I would have done better if in knew them exact questions, instead of revising 10s of possible questions. You say the best candidate will get the job, clearly if people have questions prepared more than others they will appear to be the best candidate even though no necessarily the case. Would you find it fair if some people in your class were told what leaving cert questions were coming up but you had to prepare for any possibility? The people agreeing with you are the people you helped. Some people.

    I did a lot of preperation for this phone interview as it was the first i ever did, reading articles and online and without talking to anybody who had done it i had answers prepared for them questions i gave as an example as everything i read had them as possible questions, i had about 30 questions and answers prepared for this interview, so if you did any preperation for the interview you would have had answers for the same 4 examples i gave as they are the most basic ones you can be asked, and from what i read nearly always come up and if you didn't it obviously meant you didn't prepare for it properly, and if you didn't prepare properly did you really expect to get through it

    Anyone who had been to an interview lately will know they always ask these. They're standard HR questions, not state secrets. I knew what i was going to say to these questions because i had been asked them countless times before.

    So to quote;
    "Not big surprise".
    Dont get me wrong Kromdar i do agree with this to an extent. But i also feel that there is several other standard potential questions. Its just the fact that people now know the Exact, and not potential questions, which is unfair from my point of view.

    I did prepare for it obviously. You kind of made my point for me, you prepared about 30 questions, so did I. Now people can have an easier time with the 4 exact questions. Fact. Im not arguing with you on this it wont get anyone anywhere. I understand your point but i slightly disagree. Im not commenting on this again i have my opinion you have yours. Good luck in the selection process.

    I was talking to a few people and we were all asked differant questions so theres no guarantee that they will be asked them questions and even at that its only 4 questions that you should have had prepared anyway and you'll still have to prepare all the other ones aswell so what differance will it really make, its not as if the interwiew consists solely them 4 questions, you'd swear i was after telling them everything i was asked, and that everybody who is going for the apprenticeship goes on boards

    yeah brotherrabbit i 100% agree, and evoste i got the same email. do ya reckon there just delaying the inevitable??:(

    The deadline is just to give people a chance to do the tests. They have already applied so its not extending the deadline for applications. It was never clear anyway if the first deadline was just for applications or if it was for the test as well.

    So can we stop discussing the test and even remove the posts with the screen caps of the test.:confused:

    I doubt there are many people working for Eircom that know much about the apprenticeship program. You could have spoken to absolutely anybody!

    Im pretty sure someone didnt waste a half hour of their life asking me interview question for ****s and giggles.

    The person you were talking to obviously wasnt in the apprenticeship program as its stated in the application that if you pass the aptitude test it will be followed up by a phone interview.
