Ya it's unusual. I wonder how many have been asked to attend CityWest next week. Has anyone else got a phone interview next week?

I had mine last week and the woman said there was still hundreds of phone interviews to be done so there is probably a lot having them next week to. I'd like to know how many are attending the assessment day? Just have to wait and see. Good luck next week with your interview.

Thanks. I'm telling myself it'll be fine but still am nervous enough about it. I was told it'll be about half an hour long. Did they tell you how long it would be before you'd be notified if you were succesful.

They will let you know a vague idea of when you should hear from them. The woman said to me it would be in the next week or two due to the backlog of applicants but I got the call two days after so it was a quick reply. I was worried to but they are polite and easy to talk to.

Ok thanks. So are you soon having your assessment in CityWest? Did they touch on anything specific in the interview, although I know all interviews will differ, depending on the applicant.

In the morning at Citywest yeah nervous but sure I suppose everyone is a bit. Yeah man someone on this forum mentioned about his and everyone got mad over it so if you track back a bit but like mentioned it will be all about you so once you can sell yourself you will be fine.

Sell yourself...that sounds so bad!! I hadn't actually read through all this forum but I'll have a look. Best of luck tomorrow, hope all goes well.

sorry for the delay steo, did the tests on the original closing date, and got the phone interview about 11 days ago. same chaps that did the phone interview, so i assume its still not officially in eircom's hands yet, rather with the recruitment company.

I'll be going in Shirt & trousers, without the suit jacket.

Full suit for interview, should it happen.

Hey lads just wondering how the other candidates got on yesterday or today? I don't wanna know what you were asked or anything because i know people only get angry :D. Just stuff like what most people wear, is it tough, how long does it last etc etc. Thanks lads and goodluck to all who are still in the selection process!

well i havent heard back from eircom as of yet and i applied the first week it was advertised so i can safely say im not going to get a phone interview at this stage, i did however get through to interview stage with BT and had interview this morning very daunting but went well i thought, best of luck to those in the selection process just to get a phone interview means something, 1600 applied in the north so i can only imagine a figure of around 16,000 prob applied here in the south

I applied on July 25th, did the aptitude tests on July 27th, got a phone call 8 days later on August 4th to say I had a phone interview today.

Just after finishing it (16 minutes in total) and think it went fairly well.
I'd be hopeful to get through to the next round so fingers crossed.

The lady said the next round is a day assessment in Dublin with some hands-on tasks.
Then a one-to-one interview followed by a medical / eye test.
Salary is 19k for first year.
Hours are 8:30 to 5 Mon to Fri, no shift work and the locations are Drogheda, Dundalk, Dublin and Portlaoise.

    Good luck everyone!!

Oh and are most of you males or are there any other females getting on successfully??

I think those of us who haven't had a phone interview can safely say we're out
I wasn't hoping for much though as I'm 36 and figured this would count heavily against me.
Good luck to the rest of ya.

    Hey All !

Just finished the assesment in assesment centre. All I can say is don't worry and be relaxed and yourself.

As for the dress code: get shirt and jeans - or something similar - and you'll be fine.

BTW you wont need a calculator or any papers

    hope it helps

    Hey all,

I know people don't like being asked details of interviews etc. but I have one question about the assessment day in Citywest. It says on the Eircom website that one part of the assessment day is an individual "verbal" excercise. Vaguely, what does this entail??
