Just did, the guy behind the counter laughed when I said the amount. :(

I put €50 in yesterday and was still a fair bit shy of half full even though my local garage has dropped below €1.45 / L from it's peak of €1.52.

Speaking of fuel, a fill cost me 93 quid yesterday. :(

Ordered the second lambda sensor today, chased up my new front bumper, chased up my new wheels (That I need to refurb before they go on), trying to figure out when I can get my AFR controller fitted.

I now only need to order -

    - Timing belt kit
    - Rear pads
    - Rear discs
    - Braided lines
    - Tyres
    - Front pads
    - Front discs

And then I need to get the rear calipers re-built.

Once I've done this, I'll have to get her serviced again, and then I'll consider taxing her.

    The joys!

Try paying over €2.5k tax a year over two cars (plus €48 on the biggest one) and then come back to me! ;)

96 on the way home in the M1 services, first time filling up the new one. Was showing 6km to empty so was a full tank.

OBC did show 1210 to empty when I left the station, which I reckon is a bit more than yours.

Lads, this is probably a long shot, but is there anyone on here who might have a spare set of alloys with tyres on them?

The reason I ask is because I will be getting my own ones refurbed in the coming months but the problem is, I need my car every day and don't have any alternative.

The alloys on my car are 18" 5 stud Mazda alloys.

With the bad weather and some free time from work coming up ive been stocking up to keep me busy, along with the usual servicing and maintenance ive picked up some new goodies.

Picked up a set of tein edfc (electronic dampening force controller) Ive allways wanted a set of these to keep suspension adjustments quick and easy.

Also picked up some Bridgestone RE01-Rs , the ones Bridgestone Ireland said never existed :D , my favourite tyre ive ever used, not great for standing water but amazing sidewall stiffness and crazy grip once warm

Oh and i fitted a new bulb :D

    *shivers*

Today I put in the lowering springs. It's taken me four hours so far, about 1:30 of that was going to get springs clamps I thought I had and going to get the top bolt on the shock shocked off with a gun.

Just have to put on my wheels are i'm done, time for a steak first :L

    Interested,
Never new you should replace bulbs in pairs, my mechanic never does.
I have a 07 F*?£ Focus, eats bulbs for breakfast lunch and dinner, sometimes they dont even last a day!
Would go through a mint if I changed two at a time!

That last Astra I fitted coilovers to was fairly simple and hassle free.

    I swear a lot though.

Normally lowering springs are a big pain! You have to dismantle the standard shock to put in the new springs, where as if it were coil overs you just take out the old and put in the new. I'm not sure if yours are the same as the older Astra's but if the shock is independent to the spring at the back, they're piss easy.

I'm in Castletroy, which is still the county :P
