Is this the new track car?

Aye. Rebuilding it bit by bit for the start of.next season. That way I can be fairly happy that everything is put together properly. Tidying up some wiring for now.

Carpet, sound deadening, everything bar the actual dash is out. Well, now the dash is too

It was the black bonnet that caught my eye, very same coleur :) don't know if it had a spoiler...

It might be around he town later, I'll keep my eye out for it :)
    Strange, where about was it?

Also, car died today, managed to get it going, but think it's the Coil Wiring as it happened before and I changed the coil.

So I decided to give the engine a good scrub since I'll be working on it over the next while... Will detail it once the work has been done, as there's no point doing it now...

I'd say the snips is worn out after all the cable ties were removed

Here, just where the road changes heading towards Navan. Times like this require a dashcam! :p

Began the overhaul on the 156 today. Started with a general wash getting into all the smaller places I rarely clean, then onto a de-tar and a clay. Next used AG Paint cleanser, then some Gtechniq P1 polish then some SRP. Funny thing is I only got half the car done...:D

Also got some stuff for the bumpers as they look really past it. Carplan something or other. Works well, it's like a paint that you paint onto the surface with a brush.

Tomorrow got to finish polishing, clean windows, interior and wheels.

    College life rocks...:D

She was running seriously rough and died a couple of times before Rathduff, so I had the brainfart to ring recovery off the insurance. They didn't want to bring it the whole way for me but the recovery driver threw them a curve so they agreed to cover it but wouldn't provide me with a rental - worked for me. So hopefully there'll be news (positive I'm praying) tomorrow. :o

All four wheels off, scrubbed with turtle wax wheel clean, detarred with OAC Tar Cleanse/Holts, de-ironised with Car-Pro Iron X, scrubbed again to get all residue off, powerwashed, dried, Jetsealed (2 coats) then 2 coats of Meguiars NXT 2.0 wax.

I'm wrecked but it was worth it. Apart from a bit of kerbing, the alloys look like new.

I was treating rust with hammerite today. The boot well and some light surface rust on the inside under the seats. I had the remove them, still not as labour intensive as removing an engine :). All cleaned up and treated, but the head is lifting off me now.

As in you have a headache? When I was a smoker, I used get very bad headaches when doing labour intensive work like I did today. I would also have no energy left but I've done all that today and now I'm in the mood to wash the car and have it ready for polishing, jeatsealing and waxing tomorrow.

Wired up a relay so that the fog lights come on with the high beams. Pointless but looks cool when you flash someone :D:p
