Easy link to check if you're info was leaked HERE.

Doesn't invove downloading the file or anything, it's grand.

That's a relief, I'm not on the list!

Although I haven't signed up to any porn sites anyway (¬.¬) so I shouldn't be worried.

Now, I wouldn't do that. I trust Mr. S but how do you know he's now not typing your email and password into Facebook and changing your status to "I love big man-c0ck" or similar*

*Not so bad if you are actually gay I suppose :D
Guys, I'm not so sure if I should click on the link with the Lulzsec link with emails and passwords on them. I mean if some police service decide to contact on ISP and find out who viewed the webpage with the sensitive information on it you could get into trouble.
There are thousands of journalists trawling those lists looking for politicians or celebrities who have signed up to porn sites or just looking for their email addresses so that they can get their passwords and try them on email accounts, facebook etc. The police are not going to target anyone looking at those files. They may target anyone who logs into another persons email or facebook, online banking using the information they got from the list though. Then again, they may not. Depends on who makes a complaint I suppose :)

I just searched the list for the password '123456'. It returned 1025 matches.
No wonder people are getting hacked.

Also, I wouldn't trust the OP when he's asking for your email address. If he says they removed the email addresses, they how would he know if you were targeted?

I REALLY wouldn't worry about it.

So are these email addresses and passwords belonging mainly to online gamers?
Are twitter not kicking them off twitter?

From what I can see, the list has been removed from Mediafire. If you need your email to be checked, please send me a PM with your email address. I will check them asap.

There are also others in the chat who have also been kind enough to offer to check for you
    Oh reeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaalllllllllly?

The people who released the list are sh1theads.

I hope they are caught and do time, even if they are 12 years olds.

Personally I think its the fault of the company holding the details. They should have better measures in place.

Look at the passwords people think are secure, 1024 (about 2%) think 123456 is a secure password FFS. I hope this teaches people

Someone on that list has his mobile phone number (an Irish mobile) as his password. And from his username I can tell he is in his thirties.

Someone give him a ring and pretend to be a reporter:pac:

How exactly does the best password in the world work and stay secure when someone steals it, your email address and puts in on the internet for all to see?

I'd be interested in hearing your security explanation!

I have been following these guys' tweets for the past 48 hours now. I noticed this morning that they gave a link to download these emails. I downloaded it and as a result I have the .txt file here in front of me. I am trying to do a good thing for those who no longer are able to download the file (Mediafire removed it from their website.) I have already check 10 emails that have been sent to me through pms. If you don't want me to check then you don't have to. There are 3/4 other guys here who are also offering, so go and ask them!

I have the file but I am not prepared to share.. This kind of stuff is very delicate. Someone just posted a picture of him using an amazon account that isn't his, which he got from an email account.

You don't have to trust me if you don't want to... I don't care at the end of the day ... I'm just trying to help. I have already checked 10 emails for people already.
