    A bit off topic, but does anyone know what the Account Number on the prize bonds cert and the filling out the form means, and is it of any benefit?

    The first time you get prize bonds they need photo ID, proof of address and proof of your PPS number. They keep these on file so if you put in the account number they won't ask for these again. If you leave the account number blank you will have to send in your documents again. So basically the account number is just a link to the proof of who you are.

    Thats only for deposits of 1k or over or so i was told in the post office last week when i bought mine

    Just arrived home to find my bond certificate for €2,000 arrived :) how do i check every week to see if i have won anything?

    EDIT: just signed up for the bond tracker, roll on friday!!

    How do you cash in some prize bonds?

    A cover letter requesting a cheque and include the bonds? I see no exact info on how to cash bonds.

    Mad, I know :mad:; I had nearly 40K, and went for broke at the start of 2013 and stepped it up to nearly 60K. I am only prepared to gamble on the Interest I know I'm losing if I had it invested wisely! So far it is a very poor return but hope springs eternal, as the saying goes. I'll probably hang on until the end of the year anyway, and meanwhile I'll dream impossible dreams of that cool million, or even the 20K or - or - or 1K!!! (I'm well named in "FoolsGold".) :rolleyes:

    Since November 2012 on 30K - €450.00

    Nothing for May & was beginning to think June was going to be the same.

    Now €6k in the €200 per month direct debit purchases (separate to the €30k) & still not a sign of a win on them so far.

    If my figures are correct it would seem the PB fund is now about 1,792,091,429 Euro as of the end of June 13,
    Which means at the moment there are about 286,734,629 bonds.

    During June I reckon the PB fund only grew by 12,571,430 Euro,
    Which means there will be an extra 2,011,429 bonds in each draw during July compared to June.

    I would estimate that on average there was a net growth in the PB fund of 661,654 Euro each working day during June.
