Question, is this just a problem with HDMI connection, is a scart connection and ordinary SD working without sync problems.

That seems to be the case from what I understand so far.

I will need to check again but I think I was seeing problems on scart too. Will check again and report back.

Good thinking. I'm wondering are the guys who bought from Satsklep having the same problem ? This might help narrow things down further.

    bought mine from Satskelp....

Mine too. I wonder if it's just a problem with their batch?

Hard to say right now although Mike at freesat has been seeing some problems on his box which came direct from Ferguson.

Have been away for a few hours. Was up till 2.30am trying to sort this lip-synch problem:mad:. Re-installed the firmware from Ferguson but no use. I'm using scart only. Just watching News Now on DTT and it is noticeable. Won't be a huge problem until the week-end. If any of you notice a goal going in while the ball is 20m out, then the issue will escalate:D.I will be setting up a box for a friend this evening. He got his from Satsklep. Will report back.

The HDMI on these is 1.3 which has the auto lip sync functionality. There are no excuses for lip sync problems over scart.

Either way they are software issues which can be resolved, quite easily.

I suggest that Tony or someone here records a 1 minute TS of the offending stations (all presumably are out ?). When they are played back on the box in Ferguson, Poland, it will replicate itself showing the issues.

The delay needs to be adjusted in the firmware.

Is it just on HD stations ?

Mike at freesat saw it on SD stations yesterday . Just about to make up a new test set up with HDMI to get a good look at the problem.

I presume anyone who emailed Ferguson got a reply in Polish. Here it is as Google has translated.

"Thank you for your message. Although the company Ferguson could not answer every e-mail, we use the information you submitted in order to improve our products. Welcome to Chapter Questions on our website, where you will find answers to the most frequently reported problems.

Perhaps the guys who bought from satsklep could email them also to put more pressure on.

With me the issue is with all stations, Sat & DTT. I'm connected up by scart.

Mine was delivered today but I won't get a chance to test it until Monday. I'll report my findings then to see if I have the same issues.

Same with me. It is very bad on HD channels and worst of all on ITVHD

I'm only seeing it on HDMI/Hd satellite channels here. terrestrial looks ok. Takes forever to test properly with the ads being shown.

Just got a response from the technical manager at ferguson :
    "Hello
    Yes we found this problem.
New s/w will be available next week.
Our engineers are working on it right now.
Anyhow please help us to record streams of
channels that makes the worse feeling :( "

For most guys this will be astra 2 and eurobird

Eurobird 1 & Astra 2A have the vast majority of the FTA channels. Scan for FTA only, otherwise it will search for all the channels. As it is there is a fair amount of duplication between Astra 2A & Eurobird, so you'll have a pile of editing to do:).

How do you update the channel list from the file Tony posted? The manual doesn't mention this at all.

    Download the channel editor from:

    http://www.ferguson-digital.eu/en/download/func-startdown/842/

There is a pdf with instructions. I also have my list (incomplete) here if you wanna have a look.

Is there an option in the hdmi and audio settings to change to PCM audio ???

If there is, change it to that and reboot the box.
