It's being done by Republican Sinn Fein (Ruairí Ó Brádaigh's 1983-born splinter group, now headed by Des Dalton, with a total of one elected councillor) next weekend. As "the purpose of the ceremony is to cleanse the Garden of Remembrance of any residue of British Imperialism", I suspect they'll be bringing the holy water with them.
Is it Republican SF or Real SF (they split a while back). Absolute joke they are.

I somehow suspect they probably already regret that decision. Because they lost an opportunity for a true 'Mandela 'moment.
You need to look at this in a wider context... Would lose a lot of support in the north if they did, would be seen as forgetting that they are still under British rule.

What did you want them to do? They did not attend the ceremonial events, yet neither did they protest. Seems perfectly understandable for republicans who may represent or have represented her subjects.

I am sure that, if anything, the Queen was relieved they were not present, I am sure she did not relish the thought of passing Gerry Adams the spuds.

Its time to move on, simple as !

    :D:D Hilarious

Why on earth would they move on? The British are still in NI. SF's aspiration is for a United Ireland.
Their point of view is that the occupation is wrong, they have never said anything different. The logical, HONEST thing for them to do was abstain, or do we want yet another party talking with forked tongue for political expediency?

If it was the nine-month-old newest splinter group the Limerick Independent Republican Organisation/Real Sinn Fein rather than Republican Sinn Fein I'd have said so:). I can distinguish between different loopers better than you'd think.

Shame the media can't, I wasn't implying you couldn't, I assumed you just read it in the paper.
