    First spin out on the new Canyon, today short 25k. Legs were tired and sore from the previous week but could still feel it was quick as hell. First proper road bike and oh my days is it good. Carbon bottle cages and barfly for the 810 on the way. Must search out a decent compact saddle bag. Can't wait for a lengthy spin and hit the hills. Huge thanks to Unknown Soldier for help in reassuring myself I was going for the right size...and bike.

    Beautiful bike, Stevie. Glad to have helped in someway.

    Once you start cycling on it, it's very hard to get off though :) You'll find your self doing Strava "Fondo's" and stuff. 25mm Conti Grx II's help with the long distance stuff.

    G'luck with the racing.

    That's a rockin' bike.

    @StevieGriff
    This saddle bag is made for your saddle. The small will hold 2 tubes and a multitool.

    One of the rare windless evenings where the post-ride-sundowner tasted like nectar. That's why we cycle... :o

    That's the Donegal facing side of Benbulben in County Sligo.
    There is a gentle looped trail that runs along the base of the mountain, handy for tiring my friend out if we don't have time for a decent walk or ride.
    Amazing that the sheep aren't fazed by the sheer drops and ridiculous heights where they dine, but what about the dogs sent up to gather them?
    He's bewildered by the bike being in the tree because its more common to see its rider stuck in a tree with the unfortunate bike left scattered upon the ground.

    He looks a bit stiff after all that running :pac: Beautiful dog though

    Mind out for your front brake hose,it could either damage the stanchion of the fork from rubbing it,get rubbed through or as happened to me,get trapped,pinched and result in it dribbling the fluid out

    Second time out on the new bike, took a while to get used of how she reacts to the wind compare to my old lump. Very nervy with the gusts at times and the wind was always a hindrance and never a help, didn't plan my route too well and always had a crosswind or head win.

    You've a good bit more stability in the drops than the hoods in the wind; smaller profile and lower centre of gravity. If you're not already doing so, worth trying out next time. Also less work going into the wind if you stay low.

    Is that a standard crankset with a 32 on the back. Rear mech looks long. Nice bike all the same. :)
