Callum is also in another hit, The Killing :)

Yeah, I wasn't surprised to see it had been renewed for season 12. It just gets better with each episode. I wonder if any of the cast will manage to break out of the shackles of being 'that guy from The Killing' or if it will plague them for the rest of their acting careers.

I honestly would only recognise about 10% of the names mentioned in the last few pages and a lot of the shows are completely unknown to me.

I'm no TV guru but what the hell is Twitch City? (rhetorical question, I have internet access :))

Ben McKenzie - The OC (shudder) and Southland. Not sure if either could be considered hits shows though

The O.C. was fairly successful, at least in the beginning, and McKenzie had a lot of doubters as lead in a more gritty drama. Not quite the same as the Constanza Conundrum but more of a "Will They Grow Up Well?"

Ted Danson - Cheers and Becker. Also the fantastic 'Damages' although he is not the main actor in it.

Could also count Bored to Death.

    He is only supporting though.

Speaking of Southland what about Kevin Alejandro - Sleeper Cell, Ugly Betty, Shark, Southland and True Blood

Nah. Maybe I should just have changed the title from the beginning because loads of these are not stars (i.e. first billing, there from the start) of the shows they're listed under.

Actually I'm not bothered at this stage. There have been a lot of good suggestions and food for thought. I might start another thread on suggestions for typecast actors.

My sarcasm detector is seriously malfunctioning.

I just spent 10 minutes searcing for this TV gem that had somehow stayed off my radar for 12 years.

Wow, this thread is old! I was just thinking about it recently too. I bet there's a few new ones to add to it now....

What obvious ones am I missing?
Bryan Cranston maybe - I don't know what the viewing figures for Breaking Bad are like.

It did pretty well as it turns out

Half of these were in the original thread. If we're reviving it, it should be new (last 10 years) shows only.

Relax, you did the same with Ted Danson

Nathan Fillion - 'Castle' and then 'The Rookie'. And no, as much as I like it, you can't count 'Firefly' when it got cancelled after 13 episodes :pac:

I think Martin Freeman is up there, in terms of quality shows:

    The Office
    Sherlock
    Fargo

All 3 of those shows are 10/10 absolute perfection.

Keeley Hawes has had a quite prolific TV career. Some very good hit series in there.

    - Spooks.
    - Ashes to Ashes.
    - Line of Duty.
    - The Durrells.
    - Bodyguard.

Not sure what her film career is like.
