Portia de Rossi - Ally McBeal and Arrested Development
Rachel Griffiths - Six Feet Under and Brothers & Sisters
Lara Flynn Boyle - Twin Peaks and The Practice

Those are the only ones I can think of who haven't been mentioned so far...

EDIT: Oh and Alan Alda from M*A*S*H* was a season regular for the last two seasons of The West Wing. His name was first in the opening credits so he was more than just a guest star!

That hadn't anything to do with him being called Alan Alda?

For the first 4 seasons, Rob Lowe was always first in the starting credits even though he wasn't alphabetically first.

But yeah, where he was in the opening credits is somewhat irrelevant, I guess. My point was that the fact his name was in the opening credits. Shows he wasn't just a guest star.

This is a way too easy a topic, about about actors in 3 or 4 hits series!....two are dime a dozen, thread fail.

Have you contributed any or are you just annoyed the two you could think of were taken?

Generally a term directed at the vast majority of your threads. :D

Tim Matheson - Johnny Quest, The Virginian, Bonanza, Owen Marshall Counselar at Law, How the West Was Won, The West Wing

James Garner - Maverick, The Rockford Files, 8 Simple Rules...

Bruce Boxleitner - How the West Was Won, Scarecrow and Mrs King and Babylon 5.

Could argue that both James Garner and Boxleitner played reoccuring characters on a number of other hit shows and as such could qualify.

James Arness - Gunsmoke, How the West Was Won

    Terry O'Quinn - Millennium & Lost
Hugh Laurie - Blackadder, Jeeves and Wooster, House
Stephen Fry - Blackadder, Jeeves and Wooster

Quinn also featured in a season a piece of both JAG and Alias. Was pivotal to both shows during his time in them.

    A very underrated actor imo

As you mentioned Harper's Island also Christopher Gorham (Popular, Ugly Betty and Covert Affairs)
